The amount of knowledge that the people running the Carnegie Resource center can share with you is amazing. There are photos and items to view as well as endless info they have cataloged. If the person working that day doesn't know your answer they will know which one of their co-workers to ask.

The Carnegie is one of the old such libraries that managed to escape the fate of being torn down, which is always a sad thing to see happen to a part of our nation's history, a history that saw us struggling to make a way for a burgeoning, but perhaps still fragile, middle class. This library is worth a five minute walk or so, in good weather, to see the extra Corn Palace memorabilia that it holds, as well as see some of the art work of one of the Corn Palace's greatest artists - Oscar Howe. Dont expect to be wowed off your feet. It's just a nice diversion with a bit extra exercise for car weary legs. It's free to go in. Though if you can spare a donation to assist with preservation, there is a jar for that.
