This is a comfortable living room atmosphere with great coffees, pastries and light food. You might walk in while a writer is talking about her new book, or just enjoy the 'locals' and relax while enjoying the beach community.

This has become our Absolute Favorite coffee & hot cocoa stop! The owners are so welcoming & truly intent on making your favorite drink to perfection. The bookstore section of this cafe is very diverse & carries some wonderful finds for all ages. My challenge was in choosing only one book from the children's section because of their great offerings - wonderful old favorites & fun new releases.As for food, I've only tried the cinnamon roll so far - which was delicious, but I'm looking forward to many more treats enjoyed in a gorgeously restored building.

This is the perfect place for excellent coffee after a long walk on the beach or after poking about the art shops nearby. Welcoming, efficient staff and a room set up to encourage lingering. Also free wifi and local papers.

This ex- hotel turned coffee shop/ bookstore is a cozy little place in an artsy little town. The young owners have a passion for coffee that is obvious in their presentaion of it. My wife and I enjoyed a pair of double short lattes, prepared nicely and delivered in ceramic cups and topped with latte art.Having aowned a coffee store myself for a number of years, a shop usually only gets one try to win me over- there are so many ways to ruin espresso drinks and a very narrow margin of error to produce a good drink. They passed the test and I will return for another before my short vacation is over.If you are looking for a coffee break, with a very limited variety of pastries to accompany, and a lovely homey atmosphere to drink it, give these folks a try.

Vacation isn't complete without good coffee and Adalaide's really delivered for us. We dropped by simply to pick up some coffee and breakfast and found place to linger. The shop owners are super friendly and welcoming.

Much to my surprise when I stumbled upon Adelaide's Books & Coffee I knew this was the place to connect to the local and the seasonal community. The space and people were inviting and gracious from when I walked in the front door. There was just something in the air when I came in with my partner. I was happy with my cappuccino and the lemon pound cake that I shared with resistance. The bookstore section to the store was a much welcomed oasis on this trip since I forgot to bring along reading material. The selection of books was vast for a little place. Much to my delight I found 'On the Corner of Bitter and Sweet' on the shelf and knew I had something to snuggle up with at night with my glass of wine.
