hotel leger

We stayed here for two nights, midweek, in November 2014. The hotel was built in the mid 1800s and is lovely. They are gradually upgrading and we were very comfortable in our room. The saloon and restaurant are closed on Tuesday, which was the day we arrived, so I will plan accordingly next time. And there will be a next time. The staff were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The town seems to shut down the first half of the week so we explored and shopped in Jackson and San Andreas. We enjoyed the "self-guided tour" of Moke Hill, following the map on the pamphlet. Lots of history here and in the surrounding area. We will stay here on future trips.

We walked around the hotel and the bar area before eating at the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and the hotel is very historic which we loved. Plan to spend a night next time through.

Spent one night at The Hotel Leger. Wish I'd had another day or two there. Moke Hill was fun to explore.
