renegade winery

This is our local winery and we discovered it soon after moving to the area. We loved the wine and have found new friends in the owners and others that frequent the winery. This has become one of our favorite weekend spots in our neighborhood.

These folks took over the old French Hill winery location right across Hwy 49 on Main Street. We decided to swing by and look at the old French Hill palce and lo and behold, the winery was open and under the nmae of Renegade. So we said, it was great before, let's try these folks. Wow, the owner Sue was there and she let us sample about 8 wines, we wound up buying 4 cases.The reds were superb, the Merlot may be the best one we've ever had, the wines were stellar. Full of fruit, some spices, I'm telling you, these folks (Mark is the husband/winemaker) were simply great. Very pleased to meet them, made some new friends and found a new secret winery, kudos to Mark and Sue, great job.
