benicia fire museum

This is a fantastic little museum, that is interesting to both adults and children. I have taken my grandchildren and my students, all have loved it, including me. NOTE... It is best to set up an appointment, preferably with a docent, since the hours for viewing are quite limited, BUT the docents are GREAT. Wonderful old firetrucks and equiptment.

We were lucky during a recent visit to Benicia to find the Benicia Fire Museum open for visitors. Three generations of our family had fun looking at all the antique equipment and memorabilia on display. There were 2 volunteers available to answer our questions, and everyone from age 60+ to age 4 had a good time!
