This is close to our house and convenient. It is mostly a flat walk--rare in our hilly Benicia. You won't reach a bathroom till after more than a mile. The Native Plant Garden is wonderful and we used knowledge of plants there to help us plant natives in our yard. Lovely views and picnic tables available.

This is one of my favorite parks for walking with a fabulous view. There are miles of pathways, some that go out to Dillon's Point, where you can look East and West as the Straits meet the Bay.This is the brackish water that mixes the salt water from the Pacific with the fresh water from the Sacramento River. There are white and grey egrets in the water, and turkey vultures high above. There is parking in the park or out on the streets nearby.

This restaurant is consistent in producing delicious Japanese meals. Lunch and dinner times can be very busy and I suggest making a reservation if you don't want to risk having to wait for a table. You can sit at the sushi bar or a table, or order food to take out. This restaurant is worth checking out.

Benicia is so lucky to have this great walking trail. Birds, butterflies and once in awhile a beaver dam. The California Native Garden is along the walk to Dillion's Point. Children on bikes, people walking and jogging. A busy place. But with any park be aware of your surroundings

i like to bike ride out to the point, rarely , roller blading the surface is not good for but , it is not a very long distance , you do not have to park inside the park you can park on K street or maybe Military West, down toward the park and ride the bike,,once you are on the trail in the park , there are no cars it is surfaced ok for a bike and relatively flat for a maybe 5 mile ride, Mostly pleasant , not so close to the water that it is like along the water exactly. At the end you can go down the hill by the water, at the shore line below the building at the end.

This is a beautiful spot to walk and take in the scenery. There are foot paths to take as well as a exercise circuit. At the point there is a beautiful view of the city and the water. At the point lots of folks drop their lines in the water for fishing. There is also various picnic areas with the large picnic area in the middle of the park. In addition there are hiking trails in the hills that can take you from Benicia to Glen Cove area.

Leave your car outside the Park to avoid the $6 fee. Paved road to end. Lots of people walking, biking, dog walking. Very safe. Picnic tables are available. Will need to drive if you have lots of food, etc.

It is a nice 22 mile round trip from our house across the Benicia bridge, through downtown and into the State park. The trail is good and the views are awesome. The fact that there is a picnic table and a bathroom at the turnaround point makes the trip enjoyable.

I love riding out to the point and back at the state park. It is a wonderful 5 mile workout with great scenery along the way.

Freeway & McDonald's adjacent but costs money to drive car in, free to walk through. Restroom available about 1.5 miles walk into park next to garden. There are wilderness trails off paved path but lots of weeds and overgrowth for that Snow White running through brambles experience wouldn't suggest going off road.

Was very nice and relaxing. We took a stroll along the path, the weather was nice, it was not crowded at all and took advantage of one of the many park benches to just relax

we hiked around here and parked by CVS in the Rose shopping center there and took the footbridge to the park to avoid fees.Lots of folks were doing this. You can picnic here, so bring a blanket as the tables are few and far between. There's salmon fishing in the fall, and BBQ's to cook your fish. They also allow pets on a leash.

The state park is a great place to walk, bike, run and explore! Beautiful sights of the bay and marsh.

For years, I ran the short pathway in and out of the park. Now I occasionally fish for striped bass and salmon off the point. Although the park services have declined, the locals still keep this place relatively clean. I hope the local effort to keep this place open is successful!

Good exercise area. Good views of water. Many locals use the several mile paved trail for daily exercise.
