pahranagat national wildlife refuge

We passed by several times and decided to check it out. Nice numbered campsites with tables and fire pits. Can watch birds at the lake while fishing. There is some noise from Highway 93. Permanent outhouses are nice, no hook ups and no fees but plenty of hiking around.

We have passed this a many times and decided to make this our overnight stop from here to there travels. The camp sights are very well marked and all have BBQ, fire-pit and pick-nick tables. It is a wildlife refuge and there are many birds to watch while fishing. It is next to HWY 93 so there is some traffic noise, but it lessens after it gets late. It is a man made reservoir and plenty of trails to walk around for view. There are no hook-ups but a couple of permanent outhouses with no fees to stay! It is a good spot to stop for the night or a couple of days of fishing and wildlife watching.
