The view from Ardiri Winery is beyond spectacular. The winery has several tables with fire pits, making it a great place to hang out with friends. Oh, the wines are great too.

We visited on a rainy day so the view was minimal. I can't wait to return in the spring/summer to sit outside while enjoying a nice glass of quality wine, peace and quiet, and a tremendous view. They have covered outdoor seating with firepit tables, but though the roof keeps the rain out it is open and lets the heat out... Dress warmly if its a cold day. They have a selection of very good wines, I suggest you do a tasting and plan on buying a couple of bottles.

Done some wine tasting here on a few occasions. The staff is always pleasant, the wine is always good and it is a very nice place to sit and chat with friends. They have inside and outside seating with some fast fireplaces etc. Always very pleasant.

This is one of my very favorite wineries. Great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful Oregon panoramic view.

We had a wonderful time tasting wines and chocolate at the Andiri. I was surprised by how much I loved the rose. The pinots were also really good. Tasting price was very fair. We had a chance to meet the winemakers too, and loved the story behind the label. You can see the glaciers from the deck.

This is my favorite winery! The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. There is plenty of seating, for pits, blankets if it's cold, and wonderful wine. Every person I have encountered working there is so sweet and helpful. Go there!

Having spent a fair amount of time in Napa and Sonoma, I was quite impressed with the overall grounds and wine tasting facility at Ardiri. This facility can handle all types of Oregon weather with its fire pits, glass walls, along with comfortable chairs for relaxing; you don't have to stand at the bar. The grape vines themselves were overflowing with the most beautiful grapes. Our wine host was very friendly, professional and low key.

Ardiri in Sicilian dialect means "take a risk". My hubby is Sicilian heritage and was intrigued to visit this winery and try their wines. (Available only by mail and at the tasting room which is open Friday through Sunday.) We knew little about Ardiri before our visit. We left fans. TASTING ROOM SETTING: This is a spectacular setting for views. Great outdoor seating when weather cooperates including firepits with chairs surrounding. Entire site is universally accessible including accessible (aka ADA) parking and level, stable surface path into the tasting room. Parking of all kinds here is very limited. On event days that is likely a significant drawback.TASTING ROOM AMBIANCE: With the roll up garage doors rolled down during inclement weather, as the day we visited, the tasting room seems much smaller than some of the others nearby (as in David Hill and Montinore). A sleek design interior that matches the exterior.TASTING SET UP: The host behind the tasting bar, Zack, was welcoming and knowledgeable. A $10 tasting fee (refundable with two bottle purchase) returned pours from a five wine fixed card that included the winery's white blended wine, Chehalem Gold, as well as four Pinot Noirs. A small plate of Pecorino Romano and crackers was offered to go with the wine. You'll also note how small are the tasting glasses here, unlike the larger Riedel glasses at others nearby. That's because the smaller glasses with shorter stems are more stable to prevent tipping over in the prone to wind outdoor seating area we were told.THE WINES:We enjoyed the Chehalem Gold which is a blend of their estate grown Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. At $20, this alone is worth a visit to the winery. We hope Ardiri will bottle Pinot Blanc as varietal in the future too.Being Oregonians (me a native, my husband a transplant) we are biased in favor of Oregon Pinot Noir and were surprised to find Ardiri's parent effort is in the Carneros area of Napa and so three of the four Pinots being poured were from Carneros. Carneros is a perfect growing area for Pinot Noir grapes and Oregon bias aside, the three Carneros grown Pinot Noir were really good. Ardiri's single Oregon Pinot, the first release from their 15 acre vineyard in Cornelius was both hot (at 15% plus for alcohol) and a bit tight. But good enough to be interesting for what they will do as the vines mature. Although not on the tasting card, we also had a chance to try Due Stati (two states). Although still a touch young, this blend of both Carneros (CA) and Cornelius (OR) Pinot Noir (under $40) was very good for the promise it holds after it has been in the bottle for a while. BOTTOM LINE: Both owners (John Compagno and Gail Lizak) grew up in Italian heritage families with a connection to wine starting in their childhoods and an appreciation for the connection between good wine, food and hospitality. It shows at the wine tasting room too. We arrived curious and departed fans with purchases of Ardiri wines. Cent'anni!

On a nice day, the tasting area is a wonderful place to be. There is a view of Mount Hood, plenty of comfortable chairs and friendly staff. The list of wines is limited and in my opinion, there are much better pinot noirs at other wineries.

The drive was only 30 minutes from southwest Portland. Gorgeous land. Very pleasant and knowledgeable server. We (3) did a wine tasting ($10 each) for 5 wines. Then bought some wine (if you purchase 2 bottles, they rebate your wine tasting fee for one person = $10 off.)Then sat on their covered patio - super relaxing and comfortable, just in front of their vines - and looking out on a beautiful valley. We'll be sure to take visitors here.Oh - very very good wine too!

Ardiri Winery is an awesome place to have a bottle of wine and some snacks and just look over the hillside and let your cares go away. Beautiful tasting room with patio, warm fireplace for those cold evenings, and knowledgeable and friendly staff.

This winery is located WAY out in the country, I would say more closer to Hillsboro than Cornelius. The drive to get here is absolutely gorgeous!! Rolling hills, lots of farms, trees, etc... And the views from the winery are gorgeous! I could see Mt. Hood perfectly. The day I came was on a hot blistering August day. The friends I came with were VERY relieved to get here so we could get some water. The girl running the wine tasting was very helpful and friendly and gave us plenty of water and didn't mind one bit that I took a few pics for this review. My friends (and my friends daughters friends) seemed to be enjoying the variety of wines and had a good time sitting around just chatting and drinking away, even though it was 85º in the shade!! There were some other patrons also here and they also were having a good time drinking, eating, and being merry. I personally did not like their wines (but that is because I am more of a sweet "dessert" wine drinker) but hey...as long as everyone else was happy and the fact that everyone received great customer service is what counts.
