Rael was a great guide. Liquid Expeditions will take great care of you and give you a great rafting experience. It was one of the best rafting trips that we have had. We had lunch with our trip and it was a great break from paddling. Rael made every effort to give our 12 yr old an exciting experience on the river. If you plan on doing some rafting, this is the outfit to call.

There is a reason why every review prior to mine gives liquid expeditions rafting a five star excellent rating. I strongly agree with all the other reviews. We,too, could not have asked for better service, both before and during the excursion. The personalized coordination rael provided, in addition to his sensitivity to our uncertain schedule, went beyond good customer service and was more like outstanding service. Being first -time rafters, rael and Jenna made us feel comfortable and welcome and put us both at ease for one of the most relaxing, enjoyable and memorable days of our entire west-coast vacation. We look forward to a return to oregon and another adventure with liquid expeditions. My 12 yr old daughter and I planned a great trip out west from New York to a nearby treehouse resort. We had a lot of activities planned, and was hoping that rafting would be a great way to finish our journey out west. Boy, did I underestimate this experience? Rael made us feel so special, that by the end of the trip, I felt like I was his friend.He entertained us with the history of the area, and the river. It seemed like he knew every square inch we traveled that day. He explained the best places to swim, and why it was a good idea to swim. It was so cool. My daughter and I went to Oregon alone, and Rael arranged for us to pair up with another woman from the mid-west and her 13 yr old granddaughter. And it felt so natural. He really helped everyone to feel comfortable with each other. He even showed us how to swim down two of the rapids. I don't know when I last laughed so hard and felt so adventurous. I can't wait to go back next summer

We go every August on a rafting trip with guide Rael Hirning of Liquid Expeditions. Every time, we have a fabulous, memorable experience. We meet up and Rael drives us in his big van from Takilma to the put in near Happy Camp. Then we paddle down a pristine section of the lower Klamath River with great views of forests, cliffs, wildlife, birds, and blue skies. A lunchtime, we pause on a sandbar and break out a delicious lunch and a refreshing swim. Then, we continue down the river. There are few whitewater rapids along the way, by our guide always prepares us in advance for when to paddle and when to stop. Never had a problem. This trip is suitable for all ages. Rael and his team and extremely accommodating and a lot of fun. Don't forget your camera as there will be lots of photo ops! Also, the price is right!

They picked us up and brought us back to the Out 'N About Treehouses, where we were staying. We had a group of 17! Ages from 4 to 65. Rael, Jenna and Brian totally took care of us. We had such an AWESOME trip on the Klamath River! People in two rafts and two canoes. It was so hot, especially for us Alaskans, we spent a lot of time IN the river floating with the current (all ages). The rapids were great fun for all. Some of us even swam some rapids. And then a nice spread for dinner, including wine! What a great adventure for our clan. Thank you, Rael, Jenna and Brian!

Our group had a wonderful time rafting with Rael and Brian. Due to fires, Rael quickly organized a plan B and got us onto the Rogue River without missing a beat. He is great with kids, had us laughing and enjoying the whole day. Lunch was better than we eat at home, and we were taken care of from the minute I booked the trip. Thank you thank you for an amazing day - anytime we are in Southern Oregon we'll be making this voyage with Liquid Expeditions!

Rael, owner, was so nice and patient. Lots to do on the Klamath. Side dishes would be nice for shore lunches. It can be done, as West Virginia does it. My granddaughter was 13 and he took extra time for her to be adventuresome! Thanks for a wonderful day.

This really was an amazing day. Let me start by saying that I planned this trip because I thought my husband and kids would enjoy it--water is really not my thing. By the end of the day I was swimming down rapids and jumping off of 15 ft cliffs!!! Rael was great with kids and adults alike. His knowledge of the area and his love for the river are infectious. He picked us up at the treesort, served a delicious lunch and dropped up back home around dinner time. In a weekend of fun (horses, ziplines, treehouses) this experience was at the top. My family would have done it again the next day in a heart beat. I am so glad we found Liquid Expeditions and look forward to floating again next year.

We had an excellent day on the Klamath River with Rael and Brian as our guides with Liquid Expeditions. These guides are friendly, knowlegable, professional and truly made our day fun for all. The food was good, the Klamath River was cool and beautiful and refreshing and the company was excellent. Thanks for a great day!

Our family of four (kids ages 8 & 10) had a wonderful time on the Lower Klamath with Rael. We stayed at Vertical Horizons treehouse resort which serves breakfast right at 9. Rael takes treehouse vacationers often & works his tour around the breakfast schedule if you tell him that's where you are staying.Rael & his crew drive everyone to Happy Camp to put in the river. The trip goes 7 miles down river over mild rapids. Rael rows from the back. He knows the river well and warned us when to hold on tightly and when the kids could ride up front safely. Rael was GREAT with our kids and aware of what they were doing all the time. If your kids are young, you want someone this knowledgable and attentive!For lunch we had build your own turkey sandwiches (or PB & J) with chips, soda & Oreos. Everything but the Oreos were natural brands - not cheap Doritos & Pepsi. On our ride down the river we saw a couple bald eagles, a golden eagle, an osprey and a turtle. Also many gold miners.We would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

Our trip started in the afternoon @ Happy Camp and was just breathtaking. I can't say enough good things about this trip! Rael is the best; he was very informative and pointed out so many different animals and trees. I will be doing more rafting in the future thanks to Rael. On top of a great trip downstream, we also had a fantastic dinner complete with wine and desert. Can't beat this experience!

I've gone rafting with Rael several times, always with great pleasure! He knows the river, the area and how to make the most of a day enjoying the water and the beauty. I highly recommend this river trip when you are in the area!

We were scheduled to go on a family rafting trip with Rael in early August and had paid a deposit far in advance. Due to the fire in the area, we were unable to withstand the smoke and therefore go on our scheduled rafting trip. Two days before the trip we experienced the heavy smoke and called Real. Real refunded our money less a few dollars he had spent already for food. Should we try to redo our trip next summer we would defiantly go with Real due to his kindness and understanding of the situation.

Rael, the owner and head guide, is a knowledgeable and safe leader who took care of every detail of our day trip. He picked us up at our Treehouse resort promptly and we enjoyed some great conversation while driving to the Klamath River. From there, our day was spent cruising the river rapids, swimming, jumping off the rocks, and enjoying the delicious lunch provided by Liquid Expeditions. Our host was extremely patient with both children and adults, giving them plenty of time to gather confidence to swim the rapids or jump from the cliff rocks. He told us stories of the natives and locals while pointing out osprey and other animals along the way. We enjoyed a wonderful day on the river, with a conscientious host who really cares about his customers. I highly recommend Liquid Expeditions Rafting for your family vacation. It's an experience you will not forget!
