Stopped by here for a drink after work with the wife. We waited over twenty minutes and never got a drink, nor asked for one. The bar had two waitresses and one eventually got tired of waiting twelve people in the room and decided to flirt with the owner. The atmosphere looked really cool, but when you cannot get a beer in a nearly empty bar I see problems.Muskogee has a severe lack of bar type environments that are not chains, I was hoping this would be an answer for us, but sadly it fails.

I went here for the first time on New Year's Eve with a friend of mine. She goes here often and says she really likes it. We don't always agree on what "fun" is; but this time, I have to say she was right. The drive took us over an hour to get there so I would've been very disappointed if it hadn't turned out well. We usually go out in Fort Smith, which leaves a lot to be desired. Max's Garage had a variety of people (which I love) ranging from the younger hip-hop crowd to the laid back old-timers. I hate going to a place where it's ALL cowboys, or ALL super young kids.....I really felt like anyone would feel comfortable here. There were two bands that played that night (not sure of the name) but I thought both of them were enjoyable. If I got a little bored, I ventured to the other side of the bar where there was dance music and plenty of room to dance. Overall, Max's Garage was a pretty fun place to go, and I would definitely go again.
