We drove out here from Columbus - about a 2 hour drive. It was not necessarily in the best setting, and the museum was an old - very old - poorly maintained school - but the exhibits were just amazing. My boys have been to Legoland, and multiple Brick Fest events and what was here was better than the price of admission at any of those places. Likely is being be run on a show string budget - but neither I or my 3 boys ranging from 8-14 cared about that. The exhibits did not disappoint.

Our kids both love Legos. After staying the weekend at Oglebay, we were looking for a few things to do on the way home. Only a short distance from Oglebay, this former school has been converted into a fun museum displaying a lot of Lego models, many life size. This is an old school building so expect some dust and old basement smells ( in the basement ) but it doesn't detract from the amazing collection of Lego creations!

This is an off the beaten track attraction, a pleasant surprise from the norm. We marvelled at the creativity of all the Lego designs; there are several themes arranged by rooms. This museum is in an old schoolhouse, a perfect venue. The building itself brought back vivid memories of my childhood, with the old fashioned blackboards and wooden creaky floors. Who would have thought so much could be achieved with small plastic colored bricks! In addition to the Legos there are several displays of miniature toys, the type that come in fast food kid meals. There was also a lion collection that you have to see to believe; hundreds and hundreds of them that fill an entire room (however I was looking for at least one Kimba, the white lion, and couldn't find him. I was told this is a personal collection that was donated to the museum.) We visited on a very nice day where the rooms were a very comfortable temperature; however I don't know if there is air conditioning/heat so if this is a concern call ahead. The museum itself is very easy to find and there's plenty of parking. We were a little confused leaving, as it's a one way street and you need to turn right and go a few blocks, into the town proper, before you find the main highway again, but it was no big deal. We learned about this attraction from a Pittsburgh, PA comic con (the museum's brochures include a $1 off coupon) and I knew I had to go here. It was well worth the trip. This is a labor of love; support it!

I love this place. My kids love it too. It makes for a fun afternoon at a reasonable cost. It's amazing seeing what can be built with Legos.

Not worth the trip.Cold, dark, and dank,no heat. Majority of electronic displays do NOT work.Large ones are old store display pieces.Rip off.

Well worth the drive to see the creativity displayed here. We saw 7 ft. tall giraffes and basketball players , paddle boats in miniature with detailed staterooms, a carousel made out of Legos that rotated and so much more. We took my 13 yr. old grandson here for his birthday. I enjoyed it as much as he did! The attention to detail in all the exhibits was wonderful. I would recommend this to kids of all ages.

We saw a display being delivered to the museum on the show Shipping Wars and decided to check it out. We were very impressed with the displays and collections. Our kids love Legos! It was very entertaining for them!

I thought they did a great job on this museum and there were so many different lego exhibits that were just amazing. My husband and I stopped here last week on the way from Pittsburgh to Columbus and we're glad we did. The museum is a converted school and there are several floors/classrooms of life size lego figurines - as well as a little gift shop. I couldn't get over how much intricate detail (lights, rotating, etc) that went into it. We spent about 30-45 minutes going thru the various floors at our own pace. The people running the museum might not be the most friendly, but that's fine with me.We've been to the lego exhibit in the Minneapolis mall and felt this museum was much, much better!

This museum is a must see for Lego enthusiasts! While it is not a Lego endorsed museum, they ought to be! Definitely worth the time to stop and visit them!

I planned to come down to the museum as part of our trip and when we pulled up, I wondered what I might have gotten us into by the looks of the outside. Once we went inside though, that thought was completely washed away. My kids had an absolute blast here, looking at all of the different creations. I would highly recommend a visit if you have a Lego fanatic!
