This course is in excellent shape and is beautiful as well as challenging. Will definitely play again next trip!

Our friends are members, we visited for almost a week. There are 3 9-hole courses (Oaks, Creek & Marsh) so you have different options for play. They run it pretty tightly concerning tee times & making sure you keep up the pace of play, prices are reasonable. Great course and great people. Definitely be back!

Nice golf course and very friendly staff. Played with my two sons (17 and 14) and green fees with carts cost $49 total. Can't beat that price for a nice golf course. The greens are not the best, but again, very nice course. I will be back.

we enjoyed a great round of golf in this very nice club. the staff is very nice, the golf course is well maintained and the course is quite interesting with lots of bunkers and warer hazards. bring enough extra balls along!

The course is both beautiful and challenging. It is kept in immaculate condition. The only drawback is the poor drainage. After a good rain the course can be very wet with puddles in the fairways.

This course is always kept in outstanding condition. Played in June and enjoyed very much. Course has three different nines. All very worthwhile. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Very scenic and close to nature.

We played this course yesterday, two couples all with very decent handicaps. The ladies played off the reds and the men off the blues but this turned out to be a mistake. Pretty soon we were being encouraged by the marshall to play faster but we didn't realise that the groups behind were off the senior tees which made all the difference. Eventually we let a couple of groups through. In the UK this is the done thing and in off-season we imagined it would be OK here but the marshall wasn't happy. He made us skip the last two holes on the creek course and move forward to hole 1 of the marsh course. We could have added two more holes at the end but we didn't bother. It's a tough course and the fairways and greens weren't in great condition but on a quieter day we would probably have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the oaks section was closed which may have caused the back up on the other two courses but, all things considered, I think we'll go back to enjoying the more relaxed play on some of the other great courses around Sarasota.

Great course three different nines. Harder than rating. Great for men or women golfers. Lots of wildlife on the course too!

Last minute, first tee of the day for $35. Played the course twice this past New Years. The course has a great lay out, there was no acreage spared. Electric golf carts were nice and quiet. Course was in good (not great) shape. In my opinion Riverwood was in better condition, but Heron Creek had the better lay out. The course has three 9s, we got to play all three over two rounds. Will be back, especially at this price.

Love to visit this golf course when I come to North Port Florida. Staff very helpful. Course is fun yet has some challenge to it.

A great course with lots of challenges. Not for a beginning golfer. A nice restaurant for lunch when you complete your 18 holes.

Heron Creek Golf course has three 9 hole courses, all of which can be very challenging. It is beautiful and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant there after golf and the food was very good.

Played here often, do not get far off of the fairway, lots of bushes and hard to find the ball. Greens are undulated and can be tricky.

Truth be told, I live on this course in the winter, literally...along the fairway of Creek #1. However, I can still provide an objective view. There are three nines, and each is different. This is a true links course, with no parallel fairways. Arthur Hills is a bit diabolical with his design, but the track will provide you with lots of variety and a challenge to your supply of balls. Play the tees that fit your handicap, or you ill be in tears or pain or both after three holes. I've played on over 40 course in Florida and none is more interesting or has greater variety in holes. Peggy, a teaching pro there, is superb.Go early and take advantage of a very complete practice area, and stay late for a drink an meal in the grill room. As noted by others, the tennis courts are also first-rate, and the teaching pro, Mike Smith could improve anyone's game,

From the heals, this course is a Bear! Golfers will find it hard to play to their handicap on this magnificent 3 nine-hole beauty of a creatively designed course.Personally I think it's one of the finest courses in the state of Florida...but then I'm a glutton for punishment. I Love a tough course. Most courses have One hole that is called a "Signature" hole. I find multiple signature holes throughout my rounds at Heron Creek.
