We stopped just to explore, and found an easy hiking trail along the Suwannee river - brought the canoe along, and it would be a beautiful place to paddle, but this time, we just did some hiking. They've also got a nice campground.

This is a wonderful state park to camp in! There is hiking, bicycling both on and off road, and a river for canoeing and kayaking. The facilities are first rate. This park offers special activities throughout the year so be sure to check their calendar.

The trees, the moss hanging from the trees, the shade.. just amazing. Spirit lake is so gorgeuous and relaxing. There is a swamp back in there as well. Staff was very friendly. Nice and quiet and relaxing area. Not far from a Wal-mart, about 10 mins, in case you run out of anything.

We stopped here for about an hour as break from driving. The paths along the river are delightful. Spanish moss drapes the old live oaks and the sun glinted off the river. Lots of shade in the woods. The park has a campground which we checked out. Electrical outlets and nice wooded sites. About half occupied in late October.

Suwannee river has an awesome camp ground called the spirit of suwannee. I've been going for years and it never lets ya down! River with beaches and rope swings, endless golf cart trails which you can rent at the camp ground, small stores to walk through at "the village." Swimming pool & arcade. Also cabins for rent starting at $85. Very cool place for all ages!

Checked out this park while we were in the area. The live oak trees and the river were beautiful. Park was very quiet and very clean. Lots of walking trails and a nice playground.

There is no WIFI and no cable TV hookup. We use AT&T and had two bars here with intermittent 4G and LTE for cellular but always had service.

Our family just returned from four days of camping at Suwannee River State Park in Llve Oak, Florida. The park is absolutely beautiful. The campground is small, so not so busy. Bathrooms are clean. The water level was dangerously high, so no one could paddle this weekend. We still had a blast with our teen children, off road biking and hiking and relaxing by the fast flowing river. The kids could not get enough of the off road biking. The trails are mild to moderately challenging. There are several trails to hike and bike. Definitely bring your off-road bicycle to this park. The trails are fantastic. You can ride for miles through diverse terrains. The views are amazing by the river. We had a blast despite one day of down-pouring rain. I am so thankful for our water-proof tent! Great park! If you love the outdoors, you will love this park!

Fish, kayak, canoe, picnic. If you enjoy the outdoors without all the hype of commercial spots, you will love this place.

Just spent two nights in Cabin 1! Really comfortable. Large and well equipped! Wraparound porch that was roomy and screened with rockers and picnic table and porch swing nestled in the trees. Our friends were camping and we all loved this beautiful location! Electric fireplace was very cozy! Rangers Rianna and Sandra were particularly friendly and helpful!

This was my first trip to Suwannee River State Park. I was disappointed at how close the site were to one another. We stayed on site 5 which has power and water hook ups. There was no privacy between sites which was disappointing. As for the rest rooms and showers they were the best maintained that I have seen yet. The park and VOLENTEER staff kept it and the park in excellent condition. The hiking trails were fairly easy to navigate, however some of the bridges and paths were very slippery after a rain fall. I guess that should be expected buy a sign or two wouldn't hurt and could save unexpected injury. That said the views were outstanding and would decently return.

This is a lovely place. Peaceful and shady campground with one of my favorite rivers, the Suwannee, meandering through. We camped in early fall and although campers across the main road were a bit loud one night, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have our bikes, which we'll bring next time. We'll also rent a canoe next trip. Our exploration of the Suwannee River has just begun! We'll be back!
