I come here 2-3 times a week to get my produce. The prices are better than any grocery store and it's fresh off the farm. This is the best way to eat healthy and affordable. It used to be so hard to eat healthy because it costs so much more, but since I've started coming to the market, I spend less and eat healthier. $40 a week gets you soooooooo much produce! I took my mom here when she visited, and now she makes sure she goes here every time she's in town! If you haven't been here, you need to make sure you do. You won't regret it!

Located just 35 miles north of Everglades City, the town of Immokalee is right in the heart of the Florida farms, and the Immokalee Farmers' Market reflects the vast array of produce grown in the state. The market, which covers several acres, sells mostly bulk quantities, but also offers smaller quantities of produce to individual buyers. Prices are GREAT. For example, a case of vine-ripened (really) tomatoes costs $14.00, individual pineapples cost $2.00, and red/orange/yellow peppers cost $2.00 for four! I once was lucky enough to be at the market when the vendors brought in fresh-picked corn on the cob, and I bought a full case for $15.00! Like any farmers' market, prices can vary a little bit between vendors, so it is wise to check out all the booths and then return to purchase from a specific vendor. The produce is fresher than I find in the supermarket and the bonus is that you are buying from the people who pick it in the fields.
