Visiting south Florida for the first time and wanted to see Jai Alai....staying down the street and started to walk up and was told ..Closed. Had not been told would have wasted time and part of evening..Huge facility but not open... at least not for intended use..May be a couple small places there. Hope they reopen as anticipated...still want to see the game though popularity, according to online info, is declining. Would hope that when web searched that closed would show up first...we thought they were still open per the online info.

Amazing game, simply amazing. The audiences for Jai Alai have declined dramatically since I attended my first match decades ago. Wife and I went to Dania Jai Alai on Sat night Dec 13, 2014. there are currently major renovations going on so there are only 3 rows of seating which are very close to the Jai Alai court. (I'm guessing 40 or so "comfy" cinema style seats and some additional tables/chairs.). I'm assuming things will be quite nice once the renovation is finished.Admission & parking are free.I was hoping for a bar but found out that the venue is both BYOB & BYOF (bring your own food/booze). So take note & bring your favorite beverages/eats.We thought we'd only stay an hour, but ended up closer to 2.

Disclosure: i've been fascinated by the sport of jai alai for 20+ years, going to 3-4 different frontons over the years. i realize it might not be everyone's cup of tea. i'm amazed by the athleticism the participants display and, bottom line, i can't see this anywhere else i travel to. I find it to be quite relaxing to watch in person. that said, my wife had a ton of fun going (both nights) and she isn't interested in sports whatseover. we aren't big gamblers so wagering had much more entertainment value for us then thrill. we bet $2 on a couple different players per match. we won our fair share of the time, i guess ignorance is blind! the staff is SUPER friendly, especially if you make an effort to engage them in conversation. both of the ladies working the counter nearest the main entrance remembered us immediately from our visit a full 7 days before. that was unexpected. we had lots of fan chatting them up about the local area and jai alai and cigar city jai alai beer! i was surprised to learn dania jai alai will allow you to bring in your own beverages currently. that will absolutely change post-renevation, but y'all should be fine to do so until the matches cease at the end of December. there arent any bars or refreshment stands currently. the plans for the new facility look exciting. i hope to get down there after its done. PS - Erik seems to be the best player often, but everyone bets on him so he pays chalk. go with the longer shots!

We went to the Dania Jai Alai this month while visiting Fort Lauderdale and was very disappointed. They have greatly reduced their matches druing the day and evening. The attached casino is being closed for renovations even thought it only opened in October of last year. I also believe that the Jai Alai will close to be renovated. We really missed this great game. Hopefully it will be reopened if we visit Fort Lauderdale next year.

Fan of the worlds fastest game for life. Skill unmatched. Will be first class when the renovations are completed. Right now however the seating is free but limited.

This is the worst casino in Broward County. The slots are old and outdated. They have the staff walking around looking to see how much money you have won. If you do get lucky take your winnings and go to the Seminole. Sundays are the worst at Dania Casino. Beware of the Scammer's

Dania Casino & Jai Alai is a very people friendly, customer service oriented place of business. We enjoy the food, entertainment, and playing the slots. We also enjoy that it is a smoke free environment. They do a lot to keep people engaged in the activities and drawings, complimentary soft drinks while your playing slots. Awesome music from some pretty good bands.Looking forward to the upcoming slot tournaments in August. Great Job to all the employees who make this fun place possible. Thank You.

A must visit every time I am in the area, but this was my first visit in a decade. I have no interest in the casino part of the property, but I did walk through. Compared to Vegas or Atlantic City, this is a pretty poor sample of a casino, typical of what I have seen on reservations in New Mexico or Arizona; not what I would look for if I was into casinos. However, they do still have Jai-Alai Tuesday through Saturday (year round). Still have top players with great matches. But the arena, which used to sit something like 5000 now only has 3 or 4 rows of seats, maybe seating for a couple hundred. The rest was sacrificed for the casino. Makes me worry that Jai-Alai may go away. But, if you enjoy Jai-Alai, or have never seen it before, I still think that this is the best place to experience it.

Anyone who is into gambling in the least bit needs to take a trip out to this joint. Jai Alai is an interesting game, and I'm not entirely sure how "real" it is, but I had a fantastic time putting money down. Very entertaining.

Went there Friday for the first 100 people are suppose to receive 100 free play to play on the following Monday. Went Monday all the signs are gone and they give you 3 dollars in free play after you put your own dollar in. So I wasted a few hours on Friday and had to loose time today to go get scamed. Will be contacting the State of Florida to report this. Do not go there all a scam.

I visited this casino tonight as I received a mailer in the mail saying I had one FREE entry for drawings that were to take place between 6pm - 10pm. I arrive a few minutes before 7pm just to be told that the drawings were over, they chose all 46 winners at 6pm as you had to get the ticket before 6pm. No where on the ticket did it say this and it indicated the drawings were to last until 10pm. I spoke to management, Albert and Juan Pablo who basically told me too bad. They had no customer service and made the statement, "We are all from Argentina.", indicating they can do what they want. I will never return to this casino due to the severe lack of customer service. All they could do was tell me they made a mistake on the mailer and were correcting it for the rest of the month.

Very clean place. Sodas were reasonably priced for the venue. The Jai-Alai was awesome to watch and exciting. And it is the best value you can get for 3-4 hours of entertainment on a Saturday afternoon.

I have always enjoyed jai alai and looked forward to my first visit to Dania. Just like some of the other reviewers, I was disappointed by the current limited number of seats, all on the same level, and located just a few feet from the protective screen of the fronton. I look forward to completion of the renovations and hope it will resemble the one near Newport, R.I.I could have cared less for the casino; although I realize it has kept this venue viable.

Liked the fact that this casino was non-smoking. It was really nice. Small but a lot of different slot machines.

This Place is for Adults only. they have some Slot machines to start. But they will expand for more slots and then re-vamp the Jai Alai also.
