Frankly I had low expectations after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. My wife and I took a chance and visited Jungle Adventures Park today and were very pleasantly surprised. The outside isn't particularly appealing but the inside experience is what counts. Yes, it costs about $25 to get in but we spent 4 hours leisurely strolling through the zoo and attending the three information sessions plus the "jungle cruise". The instructor for all sessions and the cruise was Chris. He was articulate, funny, and knew all the answers to the questions that were asked of him. We really enjoyed his sense of humor. During one of his presentations, we got to hold a small alligator, ball python and tarantula. All in all an informative and pleasant way to spend a day. If you come expecting an experience like the National or San Diego zoos, you're going to be disappointed. If you come wanting a more intimate, small zoo experience, I think you'll enjoy yourselves. You can get very close to all of the animals without battling large crowds.

My husband and my took our five kids and it cost $138 to go.I thought it was going to be bigger than it was.it's very small.the walkways are terrible.the wood is falling apart and rotten.definitely wouldn't recommend spending the money.we have year passes to Brevard zoo for only $120 for all 7 of us.

The best news in this attraction is that it has a new owner and is being updated especially with new animal habitats. Presently the habitats are antiquated and sad. But the animals look healthy, the staff is great, the place is clean but a little ragged. Go. Go to contribute to the future of the animals. There is a lovely little boat ride through the swamp. You can feed the bears and other animals. Some animals are rescue and are well cared for. But the whole place needs a face lift.

We were vacationing from IL and this brochure caught my eye when we got to the welcome center at the FL state line. It doesn't look like much when you pull in but I was very glad we stayed. Educational and fun for the whole family. Kids love feeding the animals. Mom loved feeding the animals also. If you get there at opening you can get it all in by about 2:00 and you still have some of your day left

We went to the animal show and did the boat ride. The boat ride is really nice and it bumped this place up another star. The animal show was fine - there were no crowds so my daughter go to pet all the animals(except for the tantalu - he seemed to delicate for my toddler). The habits the animals are enclosed in are quite small. The panthers have an especially small enclosure with a lot of concrete. A lot of the trails were closed. Some of the animals - like the emus - can only be accessed via trail, so it made it harder to see them.My toddler was in heaven. Safety is somewhat lax here, so she was able to get far closer to the animals than she would be able to at many other parks. She's also obsessed with snakes and she delighted in petting one.At $25 per an adult this place is very overpriced. We had a groupon - 25 per 2 adults and that was ok. Under 3 is free, so that softened the blow as well.We skipped the guides Native American tour. The village is pretty unremarkable but a lot of people seemed to like the tour.If you want to see an old florida attraction, I'd pick Gatorland over this.

We almost turned around and left when we got to this attraction. The signs are weathered and the whole place looks very shabby....like it was really nice 30 years ago. But we decided to go in anyways, and had a really fun afternoon! The staff were all really nice and good with the kids and very our guide was very knowledgeable and even quite funny :) The animals were all healthy looking and seemed to be well taken care of. Included in our admission was a guided tour which included a guide sharing about 5-6 different animals and an opportunity to hold them, a guide talk about the native americans from the area/ native village, watching the guide feed the alligators, and a guided boat ride around the alligator swamp. We visited in January so there was no crowd.

My family had a great time and we will be talking about this place for years to come. We were able to see all of the animals as none of them were hiding or not moving around. The staff was very helpful and you could tell they wanted us to have a great time, which is saying something considering we visited on Christmas day. Nothing was overpriced in our opinion, which encouraged us to say yes to more things. We were happy to buy the magnets with our pictures holding an alligator because it was a cool memory and they weren't overpriced. You should give this place a try. We will go back.

I'd heard about Jungle Adventures for several years now and finally decided to see it for myself, I'm very glad I did. Don't believe any negative posts you might read about the facility, anyone who claims the animals aren't being taken care of properly doesn't know what they're talking about. I observed the various animals at the park for several hours, none of them exhibited any signs of nervousness/boredom, they didn't pace back and forth in their enclosures and many of them interacted with the tourists in the park. The animals enclosures are in as natural a setting as possible, and you actually feel like you're in a jungle as you stroll through the park. All of the animals appeared to be very well fed and their areas were spotlessly clean. The wildlife show was hands on and very informative, it's obvious that the staff truly cares about the creatures in their care. Yes, the park does "stink", it smells like sulfur, it's supposed to because it's fed by a natural spring. There are signs posted which explain the odor and the employees also inform the guests about it as well. If the natural smell of a swamp disgusts you then stick to shopping malls and commercialized amusement parks.Real Floridian--

Pulling into Jungle adventures harkens one back to the days of the road side attraction. The place has a massive Gator Facade. the park is actually very impressive and offers a river boat gator tour, a walking trail, various zoo style enclosures housing native Florida animals. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. topping it off was a Gator feeding along the shores of the Gator River as well. There is a Simulated Native American village on one side of the park with a extremely knowledgeable Native American speaker who puts on daily lecture about his culture.a highlight that should not be missed.I would recommend this stop for anyone.

Visited with my three children. Native Indian tour was great. Very educational, animals are nice to look at and the animal show where you get to touch and hold some was very cool. Okay place to visit for a half day event but place needs to be cleaned up. Needs cleaner conditions for animals.

Great for a family outing for half a day! Definitwly recommended for all ages. A chance to hold some neat critters and a chance to get close to some others. Overall good time!

Lots of gators and other animals! It's educational and you get to hold animals!!Even a gator.Get a boat ride also!!They take injured animals and give them a home. The water is somewhat stinky cause it's got sulfur in it but it is good for the animals. The worker got in WITH the alligators to feed them, she was a young girl, small built packing a knife!!Reasonable price too! They do have snacks, drinks and ice cream to buy.You can buy a magnet picture of you holding the alligator.

We went here as part of a day trip. The place is rundown and in need of some makeovers. The place had an awful odor. The enclosures seems too small and too dirty for the animals. I didn't have a good feeling when I left the place and won't return. The only decent part was the educational sessions and the entrance.

What a great place to visit esp. if not from around these parts. We thought we would be there for an hour, and 3 hours later were still having the time of our lives. Lots of local species to view, a live interactive show where you can or can not get up close and personal with some unique animals. The swamp ride was awesome!cheers

Visited using the Group on deal.Place is dated and looks like it could do with a bit of money spent on it.Plenty of animals on show. Kids enjoyed it but I was concerned at the minimal room some of them had.
