Lake Winnie hasn't changed much over the years but the Spookah they do on Halloween and the month of October is worth the money spent. Went for the first time on Halloween and had a blast!

Lake Winnepesaukah is a great little amusement park for family fun. There is something for everyone. There is a section of seven or eight rides specifically for toddlers. There's an old fashioned wooden roller coaster. There's a boardwalk with lots of games. There is also a waterpark. We were there for their Halloween event and had a blast. There were lots of characters in costumes, a haunted house and a monster parade every hour. Definitely worth the money.

We spent the whole day there and bearly got to do everything! Our boys ages 6, 10, and 14 absolutely loved this place!! The newly added water park is small but is awesome!!!! The food is a bit pricey so bring a cooler. We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Lake winnie is wonderful for families! It's not as big as the bigger amusement parks but for me, it's just right!! The lines are never miles long and so much fun for kids 12 and under I've been going my whole life and will continue the tradition w my family. The grounds are beautiful and clean Theres plenty of rides for everyone in the family. They also offer family meals for around $20, chicken fingers & fries etc. prices are very reasonable inside the park. There's also picnic tables where u can leave coolers etc if you want to bring your own snacks. We LOVE lake winnie! :)

My wife, granddaughters, and I loved our day at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement and SoakYa Water Park. Not many places offer a variety of rides for our 2.5 year old granddaughter. Lake Winnie did and does.

My wife and I took our daughter and 4 yr grandson to lake Winnie July 12. The park is an older amusement park around a lake. Built in 1925 and family owned. So many rides for my grandson.we had a blast watching his face light up. Thank you for preserving this park.I was there in 1963 as a child.

We spend July 4th at Lake Winne. The group consisted of ages 75, 60, 40, 11, & 3. The 11 & 3 year olds had a blast! Us older adults were happy to see them having a good time. There are a few rides that we older folks rode but it's an amusement park for the kids. Surprisingly, when we first got there that morning, the lines were extremely short. We even rode several rides twice because no one else was waiting. But as the day went on, the lines became longer. We realized that people probably waited to enter the park late so that they could stay for the fireworks at 10. My only complaint is the restrooms. There are not a lot of restrooms and the one that was near the rides in the front were always packed! I almost allowed my 3 year old son to use it around the corner of a building! When they have to go- they have to go! The food was reasonable and somewhat tasty for park food. We are used to the big amusement parks, so we found it refreshing that you could bring in coolers & your own food for a picnic. I wish we had done that! It was also a big plus that the water park was included in general park admission. All in all this is a great park for kids ages 2-12.

We went and were charged forbLike Winnie and Soak ya. But because we did not have swimsuits we weren't allowed to go into there so called water park. There were no sign at the gate of lake winnie and when we questioned thus there rude manager said "well its at the gate of the water park". When questioned as to why you couldn't purchase just a lake winnie ticket they said they weer the same the park park but according tonthe manager they were the same park when it comes to signage. The grand water park consists of two water slides and a lazy river. The rides in lake winnie are mediocre at best. Save you money (as this place os over priced) and go two hours up tje road to Six Flags. We wish would have!

I went on the first day of the season (stupidly), and I had to wait in the entrance line for 2 hours. We had to drive down to a local gay station to use the bathroom, and when we came back, the line hadn't moved. Each attraction had long lines, and one of them was 40 minutes. I didn't like the rides and it was boring.

I enjoyed Lake Winnie when I was a child. I took my children there. Now my grandchildren love it. Good family fun and a great value!

We live in GA about 1.5 hours south of Chattanooga, so it is a short easy trip. We have been to Lake Winnie several times and kids seem to enjoy it. The new water park was open and it was a nice break from the rides. Staff is always friendly, admission is reasonable and food prices are more reasonable than other amusement parks.

If I was a tourist coming to the area I would probably skip this attraction. But, as a local, it does have its place in history. I dislike being lied to - it's called the "Old Bait & Switch" and its a common practice in traveling carnivals, amusement parks, and ripoff artists. After calling the operator and asking their policy on the Dr. Pepper Coke Can Friday promotion I was informed that I could use the can for 1/2 off the adult price, and 1/2 off a 4 year old with the purchase of a 2 year old ticket. Wrong - when I got to the box office they charged me 2 full price tickets, 1 1/2 price ticket, and a childs ticket. In fact, the matter got worse to the point I told the box office supervisor "I'm not going to argue with you". I know what I was told when I called and ask - and you are not complying with your verbal information - so, please educate the people on your policy before I drive out here to visit - so I can make my decision. Make it my choice. We paid and went in. It was pretty desolate on a Friday. No waits, and half the rides where inoperative. Although, if you waited long enough you would find the rides that were closed open - very odd. So, basically you had to do a lot of walking to ride the rides- which are mainly rides for children. I've visited many amusement parks. Also, I left my scan disk at home for my camera. $20.00 for a 2mb disk in the gift shop, no alternative photo opportunities except the Cannon Ball Roller Coaster- and that guy was a sleep at the wheel. Nice to know you can go to work and go to sleep. Now, for the positive remarks. The food service is good. Quick and efficient. Hot and tasty if you like fried food. Although, they don't all take credit cards. So, when you call and ask - and they tell you they do, don't rely on that information as the ice cream is cash only. We missed out on that because of the extra charge at the front and the misinformation we got over the phone. Mayfield Ice Cream is what is advertised. Another positive note is the park has went under renovation. While not everything operates it is clean and pleasant. The SoakYa Waterpark is a nice addition to the park. We enjoyed it there and had no complaints. It was very nice. Smokers can smoke in certain parts of the park, but, people where smoking everywhere. No one said anything to them. Discouraging. Also, only half the people smiled. Most of them had frowns, and although not rude, you could tell they didn't enjoy working there. That puts a damper from a guests point of view. All in all it is an ok visit - not top on my list.

This was our second trip to Lake Winnepesaukah. Our children are now 13 & 15 and I think we may have enjoyed this trip even more than the last one several years ago. Some may say this park would be more appealing to younger kids. I just love the fact that you can slow things down, take it all in and enjoy each others company while riding some rides and playing some games. When you go somewhere like Six Flags or Disney, there are too many distractions, people, long lines, etc.. Busy parents with even busier teens will love this place.

Being as had been there as a child and thought the same, told my daughter not to expect too much. This was about 4 months ago and just yesterday she was saying what a nice place it was, rides, the new waterpark is great and we had such a wonderful time there this summer. Spent 3 days visiting my old stomping grounds and a little friend of mine said she had the most fun there at Lake Winnepesaukah.

Went to Lake Winnepesaukah & the new Soak Ya park a couple weeks ago & what a great family fun day we had. It's a smaller amusement park, but very friendly and clean. The lines weren't long like they are at bigger parks either so that is a plus. The water park was also small, but it was all we needed for a few hours in the afternoon. It kind of reminded me of an "all summer long" WAY over-sized fair (alot of the rides were like fair rides) with some bigger rides like the boat ride, roller coaster and big swings) and of course with the Soak Ya waterpark that a fair doesn't have. .... same kind of food, rides etc. - just more choices of rides. It's reaasonably priced also. We calculated what it would have cost to go to the fair and get ride all day pass plus the food and the county fair was more expensive! SO it was cheaper, bigger, than the fair PLUS I got a waterpark included! What a great place!
