lakewood 400 antiques market

i would have given the old lakewood 400 antiques show in atlanta 10 stars if it was still there. this new location in cumming georgia is definitely not as big or as nice as the old one. but...it is still fun. i think i miss all the outdoor vendors the most. there aren't alot here. but there are a lot of vendors indoor with decent prices. there are a few outdoor vendors too but not like the old location. i used to travel here for the weekend and have to take two days to get through it. this new location just takes a few hours. its still possible to find some neat stuff but i won't be traveling here like i used to.

It is only open the third weekend of the month - opens Friday through Sunday. You've never seen such "stuff". Lots of antique furniture, collectables, juke boxes, coins, vintage clothes, glasswear, etc. A typical yet high class flea market indoors in air conditioned comfort. Such a cast of characters you've never seen before. And what we liked the most, the dealers are comfortable to negotiate prices. Gosh, I about had to drag my wife and daughter out of the place........... Seriously, one of those "you've just got to see this place".

Only open the Third weekend of the month - Friday to Sunday. Such a different way to shop. I'd guess there are about 300 vendors each selling collectables, antiques of about every description to include furniture, old trunks, knives, jewelry, coins, old dishes, etc. Such a collection and they are all for sale. Nothing particularly fancy but clean and well maintained facility. Perfect for the summer as it is completely air conditioned. Probably not a place to take the younger kids.
