windermere golf club

We bought a four GROUPON vouchers for 3 hours tuition and then an 18 hole round of golf - travelled from Preston - only to be told that one of our party was not up to the standard so told might as well go home! There was nothing on the vouchers to say somebody had to be up to a certain standard? The voucher also stated all voucher holders would also receive a video about golf - nothing offered or received. Groupon will take no responsibility and neither will windermere. No money back although paid £50 for each voucher. Staff extremely rude as others have indicated in their reviews - AVOID THE GOLF COURSE AND AVOID GROUPON AS THEY DO NOT STICK TO THE AGREEMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Played on a typical lakes day - 4 seasons in one day ? More like 4 seasons in a minute. Try as it might, the wind and rain could not take the smiles off our faces. This is a beautiful course, short but mighty. Every hole offers a different challenge but with consistent manicured fairways and greens. Great views throughout and some fabulous holes. Food in the clubhouse was great and all the staff and members were very friendly - highly recommended - will play again

The Davis Love lll course is bought but rewards a good shot. I would birdie one and double bogey the next. I loved it!

The arrogant attitude of the employees here will make this a sad experience for anyone that has any type of experience with golf venues or in our case, clubs. They were amazingly apathetic, rude & downright nasty. If they want to only cater to those that are from the 'old boys club' here in the south, good luck as the 4th fastest growing county in the US has many transplants like us and word DOES get around. Sorry folks - if you don't want to be offended, treated like the dirt someone would walk on and feel as if you are bothering someone by asking about rates & membership - don't go. There are plenty of wonderful clubs & courses here that do want your business ...

but just an average track to play.it is a nice place to bring a business group or schedule a well-run outing. the do run a professional course.

Good golf course, but it tends to be jam-packed with golfers now that Cannongate has oversold it's memberships. You will enjoy the day, but be prepared to wait on more than a few tee boxes. The clubhouse food is very good.

The course was in good shape. It would definitely be a "resort"course. Yardage was good for women and most par 4 and 5 very reachable. Par 3's were quite challenging. Narrow with water not really a factor. Club house was very nice and the staff friendly.
