Best place to go jogging/running in Tirana. It is also great for a walk when you need a pause from the noise and chaos of the city. Clean and safe. The lake offers an amazing view.

When you get in the park you suddenly feel like in heaven. This is a real oasis in such a crazy city as Tirana is. Go there if you need a rest from the ubiquitous noise of the city. In the south-western part of the park a human-made lake is located. The area surrounding the lake seems to be unfinished. You can borrow a boat to sail on the lake if you want.

Nice place for an afternoon stroll or to just sip on a beer people-watching. The place is crowed by locals on a good day.

It a large park near the centre of Tirana. At its heart is the nattily names "Artificial Lake" - but it is surrounded by a large park, with lots of quiet wooded area. There are also well paved walks though the park. You can see various statues, as well as the German and British War cemeteries. There are plenty of cafes in the park, for a quick coffee stop in the shade. A lovely place to spend an hour - its quiet and fairly clean - and a nice break from the city.

This park is a nice place to spend an hour or two. It's a little unkempt by American standards, but I liked it, it felt 'wild'. A nice respite from the city. There was a little cafe with tea and snacks and a nice view.

Went there twice while staying in Tirana. Sitting and watching the birds was what I was after but few were around. It is a lovely area but the population has to deal with the plastics that are hanging around. Hopefully that will be dealt with before it becomes more of a problem

My Albanian friend who lives in Tirana took me here for an evening walk. It is very popular with students, joggers and families on a summer evening and is a nice place to walk around to escape the noise and heat of the city. The park is walking distance from Bulevardi Deshmoret e Kombit near the University end. There are several cafes in the park plus stalls selling petulla and popcorn. The park leads to the lake and from the bridge there is a very beautiful view of the lake and the mountain in the background. A visit to Tirana is not complete without a walk around here.

Students from the nearby University seem eager to meet travelers and talk about Albania, their English is decent in my experience and they are very friendly to Americans and probably travelers from other countries as well if your looking for some interesting conversation and wish to share some of your experiences.The map on Trip Advisor pin points this location near the actual lake which is easy to find on the map but the exact location. You can get within about a 5 minute walk from the lake from the bus station which leaves regularly from the center of Tirana. The ticket is 30 leak or about 30 US cents each way, a Taxi will charge you $5 (500 leak) and are easy to find near the park. Walking takes at least 20 minutes.The lake itself is nothing spectacular but very worth seeing if you want to spend a day reading in a peaceful safe environment with some nice restaurants nearby or perhaps take a stroll through the nearby park.

The water/lake has a serene feling. Nice place to go for a picnic. Lots of places to relax and may be even have a drink. The view of the trees,plants sgrubs with the lake in the background is exhilrating. You can spend a whote afternoon here enjoying the natural/scenic beauty of the place.

well worth a stroll when the weather is good, an artificial lake in the middle and local walking/meeting place and dog spotting opportunity. reasonable priced cafes. nothing special but interesting to people watch

Great place to relax after a busy week at office or meetings. You can go for a walk, run along the lake, rent a bike or even use the public gym in open air.
