I went because it was free and there were no bullfights happening. I hate what they do to the bulls and wasn't surprised that none of the horrible practices carried out before the bull enters the ring were mentioned, such as rubbing vaseline in their eyes so they can't see clearly and stabbing them and exhausting them so the fight is never fair. They also didn't mention the horrific treatment of the horses though there were a few photos depicting their injuries. I imagine they get people to go along for free and then coax them to attend a real fight. It is so heartbreaking to see how popular it still is. I felt very sad leaving there.

The bull ring is within Roquetas itself, has a 5 room museum albeit not too much to look at. I like a brief a look and a read rather than trawling for miles. We got to see the bull ring itself (the arena) and see the outfits, old fotos, history and it's all in Spanish and English. Defo worth a visit because it's free :) Open every day except mondays 10-1 and 6-9pm. Sundays and holidays is 11-1 only. They are also happy for you to take photos.

Good to have a look at the bullring. It's surprisingly small. Lots of interesting history in the little museum. Multi-lingual displays telling about the place, the famous matadors and the famous bulls.

This local authority run arena has a Museum for bullfighting with 5 small exhibition halls dedicated to the culture history and art of Bullfighting. Each room has audio visual touch screen teaching aids. The exhibited art includes some renown and important paintings, sculptures and photo collections as well as traditional costumes and much more. A modern arena, opened in 2002, with a seating capacity for 7800 people the bullfighting are not the only events but music concerts and other exhibitions are also held here. An interesting place even if you don't have the desire to see a live bullfight. The plaza is surrounded with bars and restaurants also.

No soy amante de los toros pero me dio curiosidad entrar a una corrida. El lugar es impresionante en su interior con plaza llena. Además, el ambiente es increíble con la gente muy metida en lo que sucedía en la cancha. El lugar me gustó mucho, el ambiente también, hasta me gustó la idea de torear al toro, exponiendo si vida. Lo que no me gustó fue el desenlace pues el toro muere al final.

Fuimos un domingo en compañia de unos amigos y se podia pasar gratuitamente. No se si siempre es asi, pero la verdad estuvimos dentro de la plaza y visitando el museo. El exterior precioso con ese gran todo en la puerta. La verdad que bonita y buen entorno.

He de decir de principio que no soy amante de las corridas de toros, pero me agradó mucho visitar el museo y el albero de esta plaza. Recomiendo su visita.

No se le da ningun uso y esta en una zona apartada, no tiene sentido y el toro de la entrada es paticorto

Dieser Platz wurde vor Jahren neu gestaltet und er ist sehr gut geworden. Viele Familien lassen sich dort fotografieren,die Kinder sitzen auf dem Stier usw. Auf dem Platz findet 1 mal im Monat ein großer Flohmarkt statt.In der Stierkampfarena gibt es ein Museum mit verschiedenen Ausstellungen. Ein Platz für alle.

Independientemente de ideas personales sobre al tema de la tauromaquia, se puede visitar a determinadas horas el interior de la plaza, pisar su arena, acceder a las gradas, y visitar su bonito museo. Todo ello de forma gratuita.

bei meinem Aufenthalt in Roquetas hatte ich das 'Glück', dass ausgerechnet in diesen zwei Wochen ein Stierkampf war. Wir wollten kein Geld dafür ausgeben, da wir uns sicher waren, dass wir es nicht aushalten würden uns den ganzen Abend dort aufzuhalten. Bei einem abendlichen Spaziergang überlegten wir uns trotzdem vorbeizusehen. Dadurch, dass wir mit Ortsansässigen unterwegs waren hat uns einer der Mitarbeiter umsonst reingelassen. Sehr nett von ihm! Die Eindrücke die ich in den wenigen Minuten in der Arena sammeln konnte werde ich niemals vergessen. Zwar ist es sehr verstörend zu sehen wie ein Tier getötet wird und sich tausende Menschen darüber freuen aber ich finde, dass es in jedem Falle eine sehr interessante Erfahrung ist. Falls jemand einmal die Möglichkeit dazu hat einen Stierkampf anzusehen sollte er es auf jeden Fall tun. Ansonsten interessantes Flair und Ambiente in der Arena in Roquetas.
