Walking back to the Playa from the Peublo we came across this place. A lovely example of a historical place still being used. We had some difficulty in getting close to the water as there were lots of locals with armfuls of water bottles filling them up from the springs. One chap had a large white van full of bottles. The water did taste good, it was neutral in taste and slightly warm. The council have made the area around very pleasant with information boards in both Spanish and English.

Was absolutely beautiful , but unfortunately was rebuilt some 30 years ago. It is still lovely and certainly worth a visit.

Lovely area and free water. Used by the local populous as the mains water could taste better.Just up from the roundabout below the Pueblo.

The Fuente is a very pretty marble area with water supply around the edge. There are flower baskets and Bougainvilleas overhanging the area with the art centre behind. There is nothing more satisfying than going to collect your own spring water. I personally find the area very calming. It is used by many and is a very traditional part of Spanish life. A very enjoyable experience.

Lovely watering hole to visit when in Mojacar. You can drink the water, bottle it and take it away free. Sometimes you may be lucky and see some of the village ladies doing their washing!!!

We seen this on trip advisor but could not find it the 1st two trips to mojacar village, found it by accident on a trip to the flea market on Sunday, we missed the 1st stop on bus then walked back down the hill toward the market, and found this fascinating place. People were turning up in car loads with loads of big empty bottles to fill up with the free mojacar spring water, one lady had blankets to wash in it and had soap powder with her. Be sure to take an empty bottle

The first time I visited Mojacar Furnte a Mojacar woman covered her face with here veil as women here have done for centuries. It was the first and only time I saw a woman do so. Whether you visit to collect the very good and free agua minerale, or just to visit, it's a special place. Though rebuild in the 1980'sin essence it's a great place to sit and allow the stresses of the day wash away.

I was surprised with the amount of locals filling huge litre bottles of free water from the fountain.

This little gem is tucked away on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill in Mojacar Pueblo.Used by all the locals, save your 1 Ltr plastic bottles and just go and fill up with fresh cold spring water with a great taste and to cap it all it is for free.

We have collected our water from this Fuente since we have had our apartment in nearby Puerto Rey. Originally it was essential because the quality of the water in the domestic supply was very low and not good to drink. There is no necessity now as the piped supply is now fine - but we like the water from the Fuente and it us fun going to get it particularly when the grandchildren are visiting. There is shop nearby that sells delicious Morcilla (black pudding) which has almonds in the receipt - take some beating

WE fill up our water here for free, it tastes great, water should not taste this good ! A real taste of spain , and so many fountains spurting cool mountain water from their jets.
