I have been on a few brewery tours and this is the best by far.As a Robbie's customer for years I always had a soft spot for them, but going on this tour has only made me grow fonder of them. The visitors centre entrance is clean and welcoming, modern and full of great information. The tour guide was warm and welcoming, chatty, knowledgeable and a good giggle. The brewery is state of the art and really interesting. The tour is just the right length and there is time to chat to the guide and ask questions. The bar at the end of the tour is really nice and the food menu looked great.I can recommend the IPA and please can Robinson's start selling this in Northamptonshire as I've developed a taste for it.The Robinson family and all their team should be really proud of what has been achieved with this tour.

The Robinson’s brewery Visitor Centre was built in 2013 to a very high spec. with a small museum and smart cafe/ bar, located in Stockport town centre walking distance from the shops and Town Hall. The brewery itself is also recently renovated and updated. Barry gave a brilliant tour with lots of anecdotes and historical and local context, and access to all the stages of the brewing process, and a tasting of three third-pints at the end. Good views across Stockport en route through the building. Note there are lots of stairs and no lift! There might be a chance to see the shire horses including Trooper (named after their latest successful beer). The cafe itself does great coffee, meals and snacks, and Robinson’s beer, of course, at a reasonable price with efficient friendly service. Nice beer too!

I enjoyed a mixture of the old and new equipment. The food at the bar is also excellent and good value for money.

We have lived in Stockport all our lives so Robinsons Brewery has always been in the background we are aware of the beers having visited their pubs over the years.I wanted to do something different for a Sunday outing so booked tickets for myself and my husband { if you have a day or date in mind I suggest you book early}.From start to finish I cannot express how professional the tour was. The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant and I never realised what went into a pint of beer. After the tour we were able to sample the beer.{price included with ticket}We decided to eat in the restaurant after looking at the extensive reasonable menu .Our meal was superb fresh hot and served by pleasant attentive staff. It finished off a outing that was booked for a trip with a difference .We would certainly recommend this trip even if you are not a beer drinker we will almost certainly visit the restaurant again when in Stockport.

I've done a few breweries and this is by far the best. The tour was perfectly paced and the information passed cleverly set at a level that will interest and entertain at any knowledge level. The whole place is spotlessly clean and safe meaning a full tour without any risk of getting dirty or hurty. Then into the bar for excellent food (at sensible prices) and a few pints of top-notch ale that was brewed mere feet away from where you're sitting. This tour is worth every penny and should not be missed - even if you don't like beer.

We started with a lovely lunch in the Restraunt with a nice pint. We then did the 1.30am tour with our guide Barry. He was great. Very knowledgeable and made beer making interesting. My wife is not a beer drinker but she still enjoyed the day especially the horses. We had a good chat in the bar afterwards and sampled some of Robinsons products. Would recommend this to anyone.

We received a voucher for the visit from a relative, so were not sure what to expect. The whole visit was well managed from arrival to departure. The Guide was very helpful, knowledgable and plain speaking and made the tour very interesting. The Centre serves beer in handy glasses which allow you to taste several different brews. (Pints are also available) and if like me you are driving then you can exchange the tokens you receive on entry for bottles to take home. Though we did not eat in the restaurant reports we got from diners told us that the food is excellent and good value. The Centre is well worth a visit, the price list we saw seem to make it good value.

I haven't been to a brewery before but having done this one I definitely will be going to a few more. Our tour guide, Suzanne, was superb and didn't mind answering any questions (including daft ones-of which there were many!). I really recommend this as it's great value for money with the tasters included.

We really enjoyed our tour of the brewery - our tour guide Barry was top notch. A great overview of the brewing process, a look at the machines and we even got to taste the malt. A taster of 3 different beers in the restaurant afterwards finished things off nicely. The food looked good too but we didn't try that on this visit. Nicely stocked shop with interesting souvenirs and we even got to see the shire horses. Would very much recommend.

My review is for the conference facilities at this venue. We went as a group of 15 and were very impressed with the facilities. We arrived st 12.45 and were greeted and shown to our meeting room by the lovely girls on the reception. The room was immaculate with plenty of bottled water and notepads and pencils laid out on the table. There was also a large container of coffee and a big assortment of tea bags laid out for us. Lunch wad brought to us at 1pm - an assortment of sandwiches and wraps, salad and a huge bowl of the best chips I have tasted for ages! Everything we needed for our meeting was provided-they seem to be very accommodating with equipment, etc and although our party was small, they do have facilities for much greater numbers. I have to mention the toilet facilities-they were so clean and well equipped(for the ladies, anyway). We did not have time for the tour on this occasion but there were lots of nice things to purchase in the shop in the reception area. I know we will definitely use this venue again and have already passed the information to our colleagues in other departments with our recommendation. Personally, I will be returning with family to do the tour and have a meal in the restaurant.

My wife & I took the brewery tour on Saturday (7th Feb), followed by lunch in the visitor centre. The tour was excellent, lead by a very enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide. (Who's name I have unfortunately forgotten). Her passion for her subject was obvious & infectious. After the tour we sampled several beers in the very good visitor centre bar. The beer was of course in excellent order. As a Fan of Old Tom, I would have liked to have seen some on draught, but it was of course available in bottles.Lunch was very good, both in quality & value. Mention must be made of the two young ladies working the bar. Both very cheerful & very good at their jobs.We bought some Old Tom & a OT glass to take home for the shop after a good look at the Brewery Museum. Fascinating to see the original Old Tom recipe notes & drawing!A visit across the road to see the beautiful horses completed a very enjoyable & memorable day. Thanks to all concerned.

I bought my boyfriend the 'Golden ticket' as a present and we had a great time. The museum is clean, airy with a nice ambience. Staff are lovely and friendly. Tour was really interesting and informative - our tour guide Barry was enthusiastic and friendly. The tour lasted for about 1 and a half hours! We really enjoyed our third pint samples - I'm not a beer drinker and thoroughly enjoyed the beers! We had a late lunch at the restaurant aftwr the tour. Really enjoyable and food lovely. All in all a perfect saturday :-)
