Such a pleasure to walk my dog here. A really beautiful park. I love the beautiful sculptures, the cafe and lack of down and outs. It's a shame you can only park for two hours though.

I used to walk through the park at least twice a week. It is the most beautiful park lots of stunning trees etc. love it

This park has it all. It is huge. If you want a good walk then there's at least a good 5k all around the various reservoirs, lakes, ponds, pleasure gardens, tennis courts, children's play areas etc. There is a dedicated area where dogs are not allowed. There's a very nice cafe, reasonably priced and not too phaffy. There's a bandstand, some amazing local art in the form of metal sculptures. A very nice place even in the rain.

Alexandra Park in Hastings is a lovely place ..... I frequently visit the park for a walk. There is plenty of opportunity to walk, and relax. The council has invested a lot of money in the park, and it shows. There are ponds, lakes, lots of wildlife, toilets, and decent places to sit. The gardens are beautiful, especially in the summer. On-street parking is free :)I must now turn my attention onto something that spoils the park ... dogs and dog poo! If you are a dog lover, then you will be in heaven. Seemingly everyone brings a dog (or four) into the park, many of them are unleashed, barking, and can be a nuisance. I visited the park today, and a careless dog owner had his two dogs off their leashes. The dogs started to play-fight, and collided with a walker, injuring their leg, and making their clothes dirty! This is totally unacceptable. Hastings Borough Council should BAN unleashed dogs in Alexandra Park ... it isn't called Alexandra Wild Dog Park (... or is it?)There is a problem with dog-fouling as well. When you walk through the park, you must have one eye on the ground, for fear of treading in dog poo. Some dog owners leave it in the middle of the pavement, some leave it on the grass, and some pick it up with a bag, and then TOSS the bag onto the grass .... when they think nobody is looking! Hastings Council have provided numerous bins for dog waste .... but people are so lazy they cannot be bothered to use them.In summary (!), the Park is beautiful, and the council should be proud of their achievement. On the downside .... they should clamp down on unleashed dogs, and fouling. They won't, because it would cause uproar. I would like dogs to be banned :)

We have a wonderful park, with a very good cafe here in Hastings. Well worth a visit and if you find the park on Facebook you can get info about events taking place.

This park is very large and during the day has great opportunities to play sports (there are tennis courts), rollerblading and having picnics. It has a cafe which is nice on a hot summers day, but due to the quality of the building, not so good out of the summer months. There is a nice stream that runs through the park and overall it is a very clean space. There are excellent playgrounds for children & public toilets. Many events take place in this park due to it's size, it makes a great music venue. There are also a number of ceremonies that take place here every year to honour our veterans. Negatives would be that it is not so well lit, quiet and more dangerous at night. I would not walk through here at night unless there was an event.

Miles of paths and open areas to take your dog for a walk or enjoy a leisurely stroll. Dog friendly cafe with decking area which is great in the summer. Plenty of places to play sport and spend time as a family having a picnic.

a great place for a walk. Lots to see and do, the oldest trees are labeled for identification. There are fishing lakes, open grass areas, woodland walks, cafe, play areas, tennis courts, and well established flower beds and rose beds.

I love going to the Park, there is lots of space to play games with the kids. They can take bikes, scooters and and all sorts of things. There is a lovely cafe where you can sit and watch the children play. It's great for dogs too. There is also a playground for the kids.

Alexandra Park has everything to offer for a family day out, obviously they do have special days and different attractions, but if you just go on any day if the weather is fine is great to take the children take a picnic and just have a walk around, great place to walk the dog too.
