This little place has so much to see and interact with...great for a rainy day outing with kids of all ages. With it being the centenary of the WWI your school kids will get a lot from a visit to this place.

For its size you wont find a better museum, cant fault anything about the displays, staff, entrance prices and even the 'bunker' outside gave the kids some valuable info and fun.Really amazing to think that the vast majority of the items on display are the result of one man's collection and I for one would love to meet this man and have a personal guided tour from him as there is a lifetime of love gone into these items. Loved the Special Forces / SOE / Spy items and information especiallyAmazing place and if anyone ever says different then they probably got lost on the industrial estate its situated on and ended up here by accident.

Medium size but packed with lots of interesting "stuff". I particularly enjoyed the real "James Bond" display.

A walk through time beginning on the brutal medieval battlefields, through to the English Civil War, Napoleonic wars, then to the heyday of the British empire, World War I & II, then the secretive world of modern day spies. (And everything in-between). Weapons, uniforms, gadgets and documents, you name it, they have it all! Absolutely everything is original! This is a must see!

A wonderful museum with some amazing items on display, especially the Mason collection. Each display is well set out with concise and easy to understand labelling, unlike some other military museums. The collection covers 3 floors all accessible by lift or stairs, the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and make the visit complete. There is ample parking and very clean facilities, with a snack area on the top floor. The entrance price are very reasonable as are the prices in the gift shop which is not full of overpriced tat.Well worth a visit and you may need to go back as it was impossible to take it all in in a couple of hours.

I found this while searching the internet for places to go locally. I had not realised it was there - what a treasure! Such a lot to see and everything was set out really well. The area dedicated to Mason and his wife was excellent.

An absolutely fascinating museum with some of the best displays I have ever seen. There is a brilliant mix of exhibits spanning centuries & my personal favorite is the Mason exhibit which is fantastic and everything is authentic and original. This museum deserves National status and recognition. P.s the entrance fee is also a nice surprise 2 x adults 3 x children for under £20
