Balloch Park is well worth a walk through with it's magnificent scenery and mature trees. If you are lucky you will see the Red squirrels in the park. There is also a play area for the children while the adults take a well earned rest and take in the beautiful views. Lots of great picnic areas. Summer concerts are held in the park. Enjoy your walk at any time of the year.

Extensive grounds on the banks of Loch Lomond provide for a refreshing pleasant walk in a beautiful setting with some superb views. The only shame is the Castle is not open - it would make a great location for a nice cafe or restaurant. But still a fantastic walk with nature

Love going for a quiet walk. Always well looked after and lots of different walking routes to go. Would like the wall garden to be open on Sundays in winter.

Visited on a cold, windy and wet day but still enjoyed the walks and views. Kids enjoyed the play park and running around the very large open spaces

That was what my grandad used to say about Balloch. I spent years as a child chasing leaves and rabbits around the park and it's very dog-friendly.

There is something for everyone at Balloch Park. There are 3 decent playgrounds for the children (littlies and older ones). It is a haven for dogs to roam in and there are plenty of dog waste bins scattered throughout the park. There are flat walks alongside the loch for those who are not keen on hills and then there is a wee hilly walk which will take you from the base of the park by the loch, up to the castle, where there are lovely views. An excellent place to take your pooch, have a picnic or go for a run. There are also plenty of eateries close-by in which you can have a coffee or a meal afterward or watch the sea plane take off and land by Cameron House, across the lock.Parking is in a few spots and there is plenty of it. Although there are plenty of rubbish bins throughout the park, people are still naughty and drop litter around, but this does not detract from the beauty.Being from New Zealand and being lucky to have beautiful parks in our country, you can be a bit jaded by greenspaces in other countries. I was very pleased with the Balloch Park though and it is definitely worth visiting and spending time in.

I have visited twice; once on bikes with the kids and other on foot with my husband. Grounds well kept and good cycle/walking paths. Although castle now being renovated (I was not fussed to visit this even if open) the view is spectacular and well worth the climb. Trees gorgeous in autumn looking across the Loch, lovely for any season!!

Visited here for an hour or so with the kids whilst visiting Loch Lomond. It is nice to walk around and there is a good play area near the Loch. As we were staying nearby I went running in the park most mornings and it is an especially nice place to visit in autumn.

One of the finest places in Scotland. Very good views, but some coastal areas are spoiled by incredible amounts of litter. Huge wide open spaces and lots of places to explore. Too may dogs though, I hate dogs, and their turds.Good facilities for the kids.

From the top end of the park you can see right across Loch Lomond which is quite breathtaking. There is a Castle at the top but it is currently under renovation. The lower end of the park is close to shops & restaurants and where you can get boats\ trips out on the Loch. Additionally, this has to be the most dog friendly place in Scotland. We saw well behaved dogs of every breed & size you could imagine.

Lovely views over Loch Lomond with opportunities for boat . Within easy reach of Luss which is a very picturesque village.

Had a really lovely walk through the Park, which we hadn't planned for, but glad we did as it was a lovely day and the trees looked amazing. Well worth a look and walk if you haven't been.
