to bad i don't stay in Valcea to take some books home, anyway beautiful building, very clean (as the entire city), lovely paintings.

Not only a library, this is a true museum in it's own right! You can see beautiful paintings and sculptures, there is art everywhere you look. But the most remarcable element is the absolutely breath taking stained glass window dome shaped roof. This is an architectonic wonder, as no other project of it's kind has been attempted in Europe. It is called "Facerea lumii" (- Genesys) and it is something out of this world! Of course, being a library, the access is free. If you pass Ramnicu Valcea, you must see this!
