La Secca is a very pretty beach with reasonably good service at the cafe where the food is freshly prepared standard fare. Beware the sun beds are very close together as the beach is small and because it is very safe for children. For us was inclusive sleeping at La Locanda delle Donne Monache hotel

swimming in beautiful fresh clean sea. Staff very friendly but service a little slow. Great location and fairly reasonable.

Our hotel recommended this beach which is reached after a few minutes walk from the car park along a path where you see flowers growing everywhere and small limestone and other rocks jutting out from the sea. When you get there you feel you are in heaven. The early bird catches the worm!! The sunbeds are close together. There are quite a few Neapolitan families and they all like to chat so around 1300 ish can get a bit noisier . The location is stunning! The sea beautiful. Wear your rocky beach shoes. The waters calm and still. Just the place for a lovely swim. Bring your snorkels if you fancy going further out in the lagoon. I swam with some lovely shoal of small fish which later moved around this lagoon cove. The bar and restaurant has lovely simple fare sandwiches yogurts and Superb roasted Italian coffee. Fabulous! They don't speak much English but one can communicate and they go out of their way to help. Very Eco friendly place. No shampoos or other polluting agents allowed in the beach shower. Use those when you get back to hotel or home.I would go back there every day. This is just one of the splendid beautiful beaches and coves along the Maratea coast.!

La Secca is a very pretty beach with reasonably good service at the cafe where the food is freshly prepared standard fare. Beware the sun beds are very close together as the beach is small and because it is very safe for children you can be close to some noisy, hot and very tired neighbours.

The beach is hidden behind a sort of creek. The landscape is amazing. close to the shore the water is not deep, but all of a sudden, it gets vey deep. If you like the snorkling you have a lot of fish to watch. There are also caves you can easily visits. The beaches there are mainly private, therefore make sure you book your spot in advance. During busy days, you might not find space. You can reach the place by car, there is a parking where you can leave it, just off the beach. As the beach is not sand but stones, make sure you have flip flops or water shoes, the stones get hot during hot days. Shoes are better than flip flops as you can also take them with you in the water and walk on the rocks which could be sharp sometime.

Hidden away in the olive groves, the beach is not visible from the road. Parking is provides and is plentiful, right underneath the olive trees. The beach is in a cove which makes the water calm and shallow and swimming a dream. Very clean beach and surrounding area. It is pebbles, so can be hard to walk, but if you have flip flops you'll be fine. Great beach bar on site that serves cold beer and drinks and super delicious bruschetta! Cost 15EUR per umbrella, but we were staying La Locanda delle Donna Monache in Maratea (great hotel!) and access to the beach was free for us.

after having been to policoro (very dirty and noisy beaches) the day before we were positevely surprised about the relaxing and clean place here. the medit. plants around the beach are stylish. the staff members are friendly and the sea water is transparent. the only imrovement area is the lunch at the restaurant which is limited to sandwiches and salads, so no fresh fish is served... however maratea might be a good and less expensive alternative to the crowded amalfi coast.

È un posto incantevole, ma se non c'è quel minimo di cordialità elimina dei punti a favore. Non c'è cucina, quindi devi per forza spostarti per mangiare. Tutto sommato ha un incantevole spiaggia che puoi usufruire, anche avendo la stanza, solo pagando l'ombrellone e le sdraio. Comunque posto bello.

Siamo stati alla Secca, prenotando prima, su consiglio di un'amica. Avevo letto recensioni sia positive che negative ed ero un po' scettica. Devo dire che tutto sommato, anche se il prezzo del parcheggio e dell'ombrellone sono un po' alti, sono soldi che non ho assolutamente rimpianto di spendere e in definitiva non si scostano tantissimo dal resto della costa. Il posto invece è davvero incantevole, un'oasi di tranquillità. La piccola insenatura davanti alla spiaggetta è a misura di bimbo, anche se consiglio le scarpette da scoglio. Ci siamo fermati per pranzo, prezzo e servizio nella norma, ma vista stupenda. Assolutamente da provare!!!!

Solarium ricavato sulla scogliera all'interno di un parco che dalla strada scende verso il mare.A fine settembre poco affollato,in alta stagione potrebbe essere meno tranquillo a giudicare dalla grandezza del parcheggio.Necessarie le scarpette da mare.

Forse il più bel posto di Maratea. Tranquillo, pulito, mare favoloso e natura incontaminata. Sono stata presso il Solarium "Il mirto" e posso dire che i proprietari sono gentili e disponibili. Ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo, forse ad agosto sarà difficile trovare la tranquillità e il relax vissuti ieri. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

dopo aver avuto una delusione dal grand hotel di maratea,mi hanno consigliato di chiedere se era disponibile una camera alla SECCA e fortunatamente ho trovato un monolocale praticamente a 15 metri da questa meravigliosa baia. ci sono stato per 5 notti e mi sono trovato benissimo anche perche' avendo con me il mio amato barboncino,avevo risolto tutti i problemi. quindi nelle ore piu calde lo potevo lasciare in camera con aria condizionata e io e la mia compagna potevamo fare deliziosi bagni senza avere pensieri quindi siamo stati molto bene e pensiamo di tornarci perche' anche il personale si e' dimostrato gentile e in particolar modo la titolare di questa bella struttura. poi la sera andavamo a visitare un po tutta la costa con tramonti stupendi e direi anche sentimentali...

Abbiamo utilizzato l'ottimo servizio dell'hotel La Locanda delle Donne Monache e quindi abbiamo avuto questa bellissima spiaggia compresa nel prezzo della stanza. oltre all'ingresso, poi, sono inclusi 2 lettini ed ombrellone che ci hanno permesso di stare rilassati e trascorrere delle piacevoli giornate al sole. su una settimana, siamo andati 3 volte in questa spiaggia perchè è quella che ci è piaciuta di più. mare pulito, atmosfera tranquilla e rilassante. Abbiamo fittato anche la canoa e gustato un'ottima fresa al bar

Se si decide di andare a fare un bagno a "La Secca" in agosto, consiglio di prenotare altrimenti si rischia di avere assegnato un ombrellone su una delle terrazze di roccia da cui il mare si scorge appena. Il posto è bello e, comunque, merita una visita!

Non si puo' partire e nn trascorrere una giornata in paradiso.....Verde, acqua cristallina, scogli e....tanto relax!!!!!!
