the beach is not the best, but it would be serviceable only if I have never seen so much dog and cat faeces in one area, you wouldn't like to put a child on for certain

Potentially a lovely beach but having watched the dogs leave their visiting cards on the beach and then be washed into the water was rather off putting. This along with an abundance of seagrass rather put us off, but if you can see beyond this or don't mind seagrass then don't be put off. Tavernas line along the beach in the village area and if you use the taverna there is no fee to use the sun beds and brollies. Further along towards the East end of the beach, some of the hotels have sunbeds and brollies for their residents, and it appears that they do try to clear some of the seagrass.

A long stone /pebble beach quite a few sunbeds and the small harbour at the one end has shops and taverna's.Not for me though it is all about soft sand

Not very clean, very silty and sludgy underfoot in the sea, not good for swimming. Free sunbeds provided by the hotel (Kalloni Bay) which was a bonus but we were disappointed as we usually enjoy sea swimming.

Skala Kalloni Beach..,Regret to say that this is not a good beach in this beautiful part of the island.First of all,beach is very dirty specially with the cigarette remainders and some trash.We did not see any cleaning here during our stay.Sea is shallow and there are sea grass which will disturb you.You will not feel comfortable swimming here.Look for some other places to swim.

The far end of the beach by del blue was lovely, the rest, not so great although a clean up did start before we left. We saw octopus and a few fish. It would've been nice if we could have had a boat trip around the bay

The water is very shallow but there is grass in it which put me off a bit. The beach could be better maintained although the area to the left of the beach was better.

Not real sand, shingle and some sharp bits from the trees sometimes went in your feet! Sea warm but some seaweed, didn't bother us too much but it may bother some.

I think the beach in Skala Kalloni is not good enough.It's sandy beach but there are many sea grass.It looks like a lake more than a sea. People say the sea is most warmly sea around the island.Skala Kalloni is very nice to visit and stay, but for swimming I suggest Erasos,Vatera or Anaxos beaches.Clear waters and much more like sea and not cold like people say.

This beach is very convenient to hotels, restaurants and is in the middle of the island. It is not bad, but it is not a destination beach. There are so many other choices that you should not visit this more than once.TIP: drive a few miles west for a series of small, quiet beaches.

Yes there is sea grass, it supports lots of fish and other sea-life. It doesn't smell like bladder wrack in this country and you will not die if you walk on it or through it. There are dogs and they wouldn't be there if visitors stopped feeding them at the table at the restaurants - work it out!!!

Liked the beach and the atmosphere. Plenty of shops in Skala Kallonios as well. If you need to rent a car - do it from here.

This beach looks more like a building site, not sure why some reviews say golden sand as its grey and dirty with stray dogs and mess. Lots of seagrass, which is not pleasant to wade through and sea is very shallow and very salty. You can get sunbeds and parasol for 5 Euros for 2 beds, but no one cleans the beach up and there are lots of cigarette ends, wouldn't let children on this beach because of dogs poo. The road the beach is on is very ugly with derelict buildings, first holiday i've ever had when I couldn't wait to come home.

There are plenty of free sun beds on the beach, just buy a drink during the day and the staff are happy. We often had a light lunch as the greek salads were great.

Places with sunbeds etc but also places more quiet to the right of the resort under the trees.....watch out for the glimpse of nature lovers here though
