This is a must-see if you're in the Grunau area. Even in the winter, the lake and mountains are gorgeous!

Beautiful lake with mountain surround. Nice little pub/cafe with picnic tables too. Very cold water to swim in though ;)

This beautiful lake is at the end of the valley and in front of some good looking, high mountains. Specially in summer a lot of tourists enjoy the lake. A bit off season during weekdays or when the sun hides behind the clouds the locals come too, to see that it was a great idea to move her. That's what we do^^

Another beautiful lake walk. We stopped for coffee and cake (as always) in a lakeside cafe before reaching the halfway point. As it was a blue sky day, we had fantastic views and reflections of the glacier and high mountains.

I love to visit Almsee from Spring to Autumn..The whole area is very clean.Try to taste the cold water in the areas.Water is safe to drink and direct from spring.If you like to relax and see the wonder of Nature.Try to visit in Grünau Almtal Upper Austria.You don't have to pay any cents for this attraction.

Diesen See besuche ich schon seit Jahrzehnten und ist immer wieder einen Ausflug wert. Die Ostseite, sprich die Sonnenseite, ist einfach traumhaft.

Красивейшее озеро, находящейся в конце тупиковой дороги, очень мало народу, что еще нужно чтобы насладится природой?! В тишине посидите, полюбуйтесь на озеро. Рядом есть небольшое кафе - там можно перекусить.

Уединенное озеро вдали от туристических троп. Очень рекомендую посетить, если есть возможность (без машины не добраться). Само озеро просто потрясающее, дорога до него красивейшая, ну и горы рядом с ним (проехать мимо озеро до конца по дороге, там-то и начинается пеший маршрут) не повторимы. Мы с мужем под впечатлением, если есть возможность, то лучше обойти озеро пешком.

Der Almsee war schon als Kind für mich der wunderbarste Alpensee, da ich oft mit meinen Eltern und mit der Schule hierherkam. Eingebettet in die Berge des Toten Gebirges, kalt wie ein Gletschersee und klar wie ein Kristall so liegt er da, der Almsee. Die kleine schwimmende Insel fasziniert mich jedesmal aufs Neue, die Luft belebt und eine Wanderung rund um den See ist immer möglich. Anschließend den Cumberland Park besichtigen und die Forschungsstation des Dr. Konrad Lorenz anschauen- und der perfekt Tag ist vollbracht!
