museum of satire and humor

One of the most interesting and unique museums in Bulgaria. Gabrovo is known as the Bulgarian capital of the humor this museum is the first obligatory stop in the city.

The museum is big - 4 floors. On the ground floor there is an explosion about traditional humor from Gabrovo, everything translated to English. The caricatures from the temporary exhibition don't need translation.

This museum is unusual. Amusing. Extraordinary. Not something one would expect by a museum in a small town. But totally worth seeing it, the collection contains some real masterpieces of fun and satire. Although the interior is kind of outdated, I believe no one will remain unimpressed of what they will see there.

There's plenty of delectable anecdotes on the gabrovo citizens.A very nice exposition of cat's representation (who is the animal of the town). A beautifull tapesterie of adam & eve to don't miss.If u speak english u can have the chance to have the présentation of the all story of the museum by a women absolutely passionated.Ask for her...or ivan.

Ελάχιστα είναι τα εκθέματα που αξίζουν, οι καλλιτεχνικές φωτογραφίες σε μεταφέρουν ευχάριστα σε άλλες εποχές αλλά γενικώς είναι φτωχό για τον όγκο του.

Muito bom! Para rir de tudo, das estatuetas exibidas lá, da vida, até de si próprio! Fica bem perto do centro de Gabrovo e vale a pena levar crianças.

Всегда хотела здесь побывать, но оказалась рядом с мечтой и остановилась. Как музею удастся представить такую тонкую материю, как юмор? Оказалось, что это в основном плакаты и шаржи, многие из которых понятны и без перевода. Замечательна фраза при входе в музей, которая в вольном переводе - добро пожаловать и добро отжаловать.В музее можно фотографировать, в том числе и со знаменитым габровским котом с обрезанным хвостом ( эта жертва была сделана местными жителями в целях экономии тепла, которое можно потерять при выходе из двери кота с длинным хвостом).В память об этом ярком месте купите символгабровской утонченной жадности - яйцо с краником (чтобы принеобходимости использовать только часть яйца).

Заехали в музей по настоянию жены и не разочаровался))) Очень интересные экспонаты касаемо габровцев и их повседневной жизни а том какие они жадные))), на втором этаже понравился памятник котику в который можно кинуть монетку и он будет мяукать))) На других этажах представлены смешные фото и скульптуры.
