Very detailed, beautiful monument. Great to stop by while walking past or sit on the steps and people watch. Very near to great food, historical buildings and other fantastic monuments and statues.

One of the more aesthetic statues on prospect Svoboda, and represting the Polish influence on the area during the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, this is a definite must photo especially on a sunny day while walking between Prospekt Svoboda and Ploshad Rynok, or to Prospect Shevchenko, or further up the hill.

Lviv has so many beautiful monuments, and that's one of it.the location is bad, because of the traffic.if you want to make a beautiful photo of it , you better wait till Sunday, when traffic is forbidden or a holiday.lviv has much more to offer than that

This is another example of getting rid of episode of being Polish town. Guide telling about this monument said only that this is to comemorate Polish poet AdamMickiewicz, but Lviv people doesn't like it (not specifying - poet or monument) and calling (again - poet or monument): pencil. hmm.

Prospect Svobodi start from Adam Mickiewicz square. Square monument is a 21 meters tall - bronze composition "Inspiration", where a winged genius of poetry gives the lyre to Mickiewicz. Nice looking statue, but in the end it's just a statue. If there was a pretty girl standing there(alive) then I could say much more than this

In a country that loves it's statues and monuments this one is distinctive and classic. It is situated in a square across from Hotel George. Apparently Mickiewicz was a Polish patriot and poet and this tribute does him justice.

памятник как памятник.кажется, самый высокий во Львове. в остальном ничего особенного. если будете проходить мимо - обратите внимание. специально ради него идти в эту сторону не стоит.

Ilekroć jestem we Lwowie lubię sobie posiedzieć u podnóża naszego wieszcza A. Mickiewicza Najlepszy pomnik ze wszystkich, jakie wystawiono poecie w Polsce i za granicą. W setną rocznicę śmierci 28,XII,1989 A. Mickiewicz wkopano symboliczny kamień węgielny,Pomnik Adama Mickiewicza powstał dzięki staraniom szerokiego koła entuzjastów, społeczników, ludzi, gotowych bezinteresownie służyć Ojczyźnie i społeczeństwu.Po długich dyskusjach co do miejsca,granitu,wyglądu postaci ,wyboru firm.W 1904r przystąpiono do montażu. Pomnik w kształcie kolumnowym Postać wieszcza została odlana w wiedeńskiej fabryce ,a pozostałe elementy z brązu odlano we Lwowie. Do piedestału prowadzą 3 stopnie. Kolumna, kapitel i świecznik (gorejący znicz), przybrany brązem, są w stylu jońskim. U stóp kolumny postać Mickiewicza z brązu (wys. 3,3 m) nad nią skrzydlaty geniusz, podający poecie wieniec wawrzynu . Na oficjalne odsłonięcie pomnika, przybył syn wieszcza. Plac wokół pomnika stał się ulubionym miejscem publicznych manifestacji, nie zawsze patriotycznych, Polecam odwiedzenie i przypomnienie naszej historii

Находится в конце проспекта Свободы, в противоположную сторону от Оперного театра. И если можно сказать, что "наиболее центральный" памятник - это Тарасу Шевченко, то этот - наиболее известный и красивый (и тоже в центре :). Памятник известному польскому поэту не зря стоит на красивой и большой площади - с польской культурой у города много общего.Памятник высокий, но смотрится воздушно и изящно. Практически все экскурсии проходят/проезжают мимо него, так что не пропустите, надеюсь.

Памятник находится в центре города, будете гулять - обязательно его увидите. А так чего-то особо примечательного в нем не вижу.
