Can not say enough good things about the time we had at Loma Larga. We had the best tour. It was very informative but also very fun! I was very impressed with the grounds and the fact that this vineyard uses their own grapes. They also provided cheese (made on the grounds) and I tasted an apple I picked off one of the trees. The wine was amazing- especially the Malbec. It is a lovely place and a must go in Casablanca Valley.

This was the last of four wineries that we toured on the way from our cruise ship to the Santiago airport. Words cannot describe how great this winery was. We were a bit early so were treated to a great Savignon Blanc under the pergola listening to birds and watching horses. Very classy. Estaffancia (sp.) and Pam took us through the vineyard, winery and tasting. The wines were FIRST CLASS .. .. .. I am a fan of Casablanca Valley wines and these are among the best that I've tasted. Could have stayed there all day .. .. .. but the flight waits for nobody! If you can visit only one vineyard / winery, make this one your choice!!

Loooooved the place! Alexandra was great! She explained everything in details about the processes involved in wine making. The place is lovely, with roses and fruit trees and a homely atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself with the tasting of all the wines, but the Malbec was really special.A "must go" in Casablanca.

I don't know what the story was, be we turned up at about 1pm and the managed to man to the cellar door. It was then a bit of a challenge walking through the pleasant estate looking for the shop. A really interesting, really schmick, operation. The vines are new (2004 I believe was the foundation of the vineyard), but they are doing good things with the red styles (Casablanca's thing is whites). The older pinot noir was good, in the Chilean style (but probably too good to ice - a Chilean eccentricity I have grown to like). The syrah and cab sauv were also lovely. Very cheap, compared to some of the more hard-sell operations in the vicinity.

If you can only visit one winery in Casablanca (or in Chile for that matter), make it Loma Larga. Alejandra guided us around the property and thru their winemaking process and was more knowledgable and interesting than any other vineyard we'd been to. She spent more than 2 hours with us answering questions and guiding our tasting. The wine is fantastic, the grounds are amazing, and Alejandra was the best. Not to miss!

Our visit to Loma Larga was a great experience. Both the property and the wines are amazing and I highly recommend a stop here, even if you only have 1 day to wine taste. We will definitely go back and ordered a case of wine before we left.

We had a wonderful private tasting outside in the vineyard with sommelier Alejandra guiding us through the various pours. She also gave us a tour of the facility. The best part was learning we could order their wine from a warehouse in California. We look forward to our shipment and the memories the wine will undoubtedly bring back. Alejandra is charming, friendly, and very knowledgeable . This excursion was part of a full day package to Valparaiso with Santiago Adventures.

This was a perfectly wonderful winery (we went to 16 in four distinct regions). We toured the winery with Alejandra who is the Hospitality Manager, knows her wine and is passionate about the winery. We had a long, lazy tour accompanied by the owners faithful dog. This winery is special for lots of reasons, the least not which is their staff is family and many live in cottages on the property. Their wine-making process is unique and worth the effort in terms of the final ... wonderful wines. The tasting was so fun with just the two of us, Patricia our fabulous guide and friend and Alejandra. We tasted some truly wonderful wines and Alejandra even opened up a bottle of their prize-wining Malbec, which was not part of the tasting and was so fabulous( and was one of my two allotted bottles to bring back to Canada.) We were the last visitors of the day and I kept aware of the time however, for Alejandra, we were the customer and could stay as long as we wanted. Amazing wines, lovely winery and amazing hospitality. A definite "must visit" when visiting Chile!

Pamela greeted my husband and I at the gate, took us around the facility and explained in detail the process behind the vineyard and the family run business. She then sat us down and we had a tasting with just the three of us. She was incredibly warm and informative and it was really nice to feel like you were actually being invited into the winery to relax and not just another tasting that had to be taken through the standard fare in a dedicated amount of time before the next group came in.

We visited this lovely winery recently and thoroughly enjoyed our guided horseback ride of the vineyards. We learned about their wine making process (all by hand!) and toured the facilities, as well, before tasting 6 of their delicious wines. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area, but regardless you must try their wine! It is available in the US.

A fine boutique vineyard with quality wines, had one of the best vineyard visit experiences in Chile! Me and my friends were lucky to be attended by export manager Pamela with an extensive tour to the winery and professional knowledge on the wines. Thanks for the great experience and will definitely be back.My fav are the Cabernet Franc and Syrah varities.

Visited Loma Larga as part of a guided wine tour. The winery was excellent. The tour was very professional and informative. The guide was delightful and the wine tasting superb. I am glad they ship to the US.

In a recent (December '13 - January '14) tour of wineries in Chile and Argentina, Loma Larga won my wife and my vote as the best experience, despite high levels of competition from wineries such as Viu Manent (Chile) and Achaval Ferrer (Argentina). What a great place this is! For a start, it is the antithesis of what one sees at so many of the wineries in Chile. This is no astonishing architectural wonder: it's like a family finca, set in attractive grounds, with a style that is comfortable, relaxed and caring. It's on a scale you can understand, as far from industrial as you can get without failing to make some wine... And those wines themselves are just so, so good. Their cabernet franc... well, you have to go some to find anything from that grape from France that rivals it. Good pinot too. A wonderful, sympathetic sommellier/guide (Alejandra, I think) is worth every penny the house pays her; when she discovered it was a return visit for us, she could not have seemed more pleased. We overstayed our time by an hour, just chatting. An essential visit. My thanks to Santiago Adventures for their ever-efficient help in organizing it for me.
