The village gives a good insight into the life of the people on the flats in earlier times. The houses are wonderfully maintained and the alpacas are a nice extra. The café is also very good.

Greenough is a very pretty place. Nice views of the river, and a lovely scenic walk. There is nothing to dislike about the place.

We had a great two hours here, and found it fascinating.The buildings are in good condition, and it is so sad that the community just went wrong for varying reasons.It's well portrayed by descriptions in the buildings, and in a film of reminiscences.We didn't eat in the cafe (but did have an ice cream), which seemed well stocked, and other visitors were having meals.This is well worth visiting.

approx 9 restored buildings to visit which are open so you can go inside and get a feel for what life was like for the residence of greenough village around the the turn of the 20th century - v small entry fee i think it was worth every cent if not more and these funds go towards further restoration and maintenance - well worth a visit - also a great cafe visitors centre and gift shop - we will be back
