This was the last winery stop on our organised wine cruise with Wild Wombat Tours and it was just delightful.....saving the best til last comes to mind. Thanks Bob for the casual, relaxed, down-to-earth, passionate and informative tasting session on the upper deck of your boutique winery. A very pleasant end to a wonderful day.

We visited Yileena as part of an organised wine tour. It was the last on our itinerary, but wish it had been the first - I could have stayed all day!! Bob was the perfect host, entertaining and informative. The cellar door was stunning with majestic views across the valley. If you can only visit one winery - make it this one!

A boutique winery, but gave me the best experience throughout my winery visits in the valley. Amazing owners, wines, olives, and other stuff. Definitely a must go!

We visited 5 wineries that day. This is the most impressive one. It's a boutique winery owned by a lovely couple. Although the other wineries are bigger in scale, there was little interaction/passion from the employees. In Yileena, we have heard so many stories of setting up the winery and knowledge about wines from the owner Dianne. The wines are great. They also sell this great smoked olives - it's smoked by burning the old wine barrels. Tastes wonderful!

This winery is amazing. The staff are so welcoming. The wine tasting experience is fantastic, you will want by a bottle of everything. We also sampled the smoked cheese, nuts and olives. They were absolutely delicious. We walked out with a little bit of everything between the four of us! This little winery, with the cellar door built into the hill is an absolute must see. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing cellar door built into the side of a hill. Very welcoming feel and was nice to mix up a day with lots of wine with some smoked nuts + salts to boot! To add to that, Bob the host was a great character + was full of information.

My sister and I dropped in for a tasting on the recommendation of a local winery tour guide, and were blown away with the experience. We were greeted warmly by the owners, Bob and Dianne, and escorted out to the veranda to enjoy our tastings.Being a boutique winery, they have a smaller selection of wines, but all of very high quality. This is the place to visit if you are looking for fine wines that are suitable for cellaring; they don't sell their reds until they already have a few years on them.Bob sat with us and talked us through each of his excellent and carefully thought out wines. This alone was worth the visit, but the wine tastings were followed by an unexpected array of smoked provender to sample. The smoking is all done using French Oak barrels once they are no longer ideal for making wine, which I thought was a very clever way to give a second life to this wine soaked fine quality wood.

I have been visiting Yileena Park for a number of years now, and being in the wine industry, I can say with no hesitation this winery is incredible. Beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, stickies and fortified wine. In addition, there are a spectacular range of smoked goods. These are smoked using the staves of their disused French oak wine barrels. Smoked Stilton, cheddar, olives, almonds, walnuts, olive oil, 15 yr old cabernet merlot vinegar and mustard.Owners Bob and Diane Curtis are amazing hosts so if you are looking for a beautiful tasting experience overlooking the mountains on their beautiful deck, don't hesitate to visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic tasting with the owner. Fantastic character who was very knowledgeable about the wines that Yileena Park offered. The building was a beautiful sandstone that blended into the landscape nicely, with a lovely paneled interior that made me think of a gentleman's club. This is small winery, but they were able to handle our large group of 20-25 people. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the Chardonnay were a standout. I generally find Chardonnay to be tasteless, but this one had lovely flavour. If you enjoy wine, you'll enjoy a visit to this cellar door. The owner was easily able to accommodate the wine novices and experts alike when he present the wine tasting.I would definitely recommend it and I'll be having to go back soon and stock up on some more wines since they're not commercially available.

If you have a chance, I would highly recommend visiting Yileena Park. Di and Bob were lovely and the wines are divine. (Particularly the amazing "Christmas in a bottle" Topaque). Was very impressed with the smoked goods they have, particularly the smoked cheese and smoked merlot infused salt. Amazing! Also loved the homely and comfortable feeling of the cellar door. Would visit again.

Di was a great host when we popped in for some tasting. Enjoyed chatting and sampling - including the smoked products. Amazing views from their balcony overlooking the valley / farm animals / vines.

To sit down in the cellar door, it,s like sitting in a gentlemens club with Tasmanian myrtle lining the walls & old Victorian cornicing the atmosphere set the scene for a great afternoon tasting some beautiful wines & sampling some very yummy smoked products which you can also purchase. It was great to catch up with Bob & Di and hear about the local tales about the valley.

We dropped in as part of our winery tour and this was by far the best winery. Lots of variants to taste including wine and produce. Excellent service & information from the passionate winemaker and owner Bob plus great sense of humor towards our excited and a little rowdy girls group. Bob even hosed down one of the girls feet who stepped in mud ha ha. They also offer online sales which is great as I wish I had have bought more at the time !! Thanks so much !!!!! =)

This is a place that is out of the way but a must visit with a picturesque setting and wonderful tasting room - make the small detour. Most importantly the wines are fantastic esp the Cab Sav and the Tokaque. These are spectacular thanks to a caring approach form the wine maker and the sustainable watering system below ground.Secondly is the additional tasting of the smoked goods which were divine and a great way for the driver to experience something a little different form the usual jams and preserves. Esp try the olives and the nuts (walnuts are delicious). Smoked form the old barrels form the wine making process. Finally is the service. Growing up in the country I value someone who is friendly and informative. The wine maker was delightful and taught us about the estate but more of the wines itself in a way that was easy to understand and appreciate. This is a little place I know I will be taking friends and family in the future.
