longreach region visitor information centre

Normally in each and every Visitor Information Center we got so well treated, but not in Longreach. The lady there was not at all enthusiastic about our idea of driving to the Starlight's look out. She was even laughing at us because we wanted to get some information about the road condition. You should do a better job!!!!

We visited and the lady was very helpful and couldn't have done enough to point us in the right direction.Go there first on arrival.

the SODE are not on TripAdvisor so I am reviewing it here!! This place is fantastic! Don't forget to stop in and do a tour of the school. The staff are friendly, the parents of the kids who were in 'town' at the time were willing to talk about their experiences. The dedication from the staff here are truly amazing. Don't forget to buy a book from their supply in the gift shop to donate to the school library. Everything helps!

Make the Longreach Visitor Information Centre your first stop as there is a great deal of attractions here.The friendly staff here will provide all travellers great information and local knowledge on accommodation, events, and all there is to see and do here as well as the usual souvenirs for sale.
