This small beach is a popular place for families as it has safe swimming and a sandy beach. It is close to barbecues, grassy areas and picnic tables. A small kiosk sells ice creams and soft drinks

Safe for families with young children. Short walk from The Sunrise Luxury Apartments. Lovely little cafe, bbq areas and childrens play area.

Safe, clean and large enough to have a good swim. We watched as dolphins swam past on the other side of the net. Take a snorkel and goggles to see the small fish in and around the rocks. Top spot.

Great view of Wallis Lakes and bridge between Tuncurry & Forster NSW. Safe swimming for you and all the kids. A walk along the break wall is just about guanteed you will meet Dolphins feeding just off the wall. Then a walk on Tuncurry Beach, a 9 mile walk on very white sand all the way to Blackhead

If the surf is too rough or the red weed too thick at the local beaches you can have a refreshing dip at Tuncurry Rock Pool. The Great Lakes Council has just completed an upgrade of the car park so there is good close parking. There is a small sandy beach next to the pool, which is a netted off section of the entrance to Wallis Lake. There is a ramp which allows disabled patrons to enter the water. The water is usually quite calm making it great for kids and oldies. There is a take away cafe nearby as well as picnic tables and Bbqs. There is also a nice playground for the kids as well as toilets and change area.Great place for a swim or a picnic and there is always a chance of seeing the dolphins playing in the channel.

The Rockpool is great for young children. It is also netted off, so a really safe way to get into the ocean!

Love swimming in the safe rock pool. Tides can sometimes be very fast on the outgoing tide so thankfully there is the net. You can be washed over the top if your not careful. Other than that its extremely popular with locals and tourists.

Have visited this protected swim area for over a decade & when the kids were younger you could not find a better spot for them to frolic & gambol ! Can get crowded in peak times but still always a pleasant & mostly clean spot located on the Cape Hawke Harbour and the exit from Wallis Lake and the tidal change is the reason it is normally very clean. Went back again with the last of the brood and as always on every visit , you will see Dolphins playing on their way in or out. Have never not seen them on any visit & it's all for free , so that's a plus !! Well recommended for family's with youngsters, safe & they get to ooh & aahh the passing parade.
