Great source of local info, with friendly staff and nice ambience. Booking for local accomodation. Maps for the surrounding area and National Parks, as well as shop for souvenirs.

The candle factory is fine, a nice place if your want to shop for pretty candles. We're not really into candles, but stopped by since it's so popular. The women working were nice and the candles were pretty. The town itself is kind of a sad place to visit. We didn't feel any peace love and happiness, but rather witnessed people who seemed down on their luck and prematurely aged for their true age. If your want to buy weed, it's easy. You can probably find harder stuff, too, which is probably why the town felt the way it did. :(

Go there first, to see where to go. They can guide you on the best places to see and where not to go.

Ahh Nimbin. The scene of Australia's true hippy heartbeat and alternative society in the 70s now living on the glory days. Shame the harder drugs have crept in - great visitors centre. First visited Nimbin in the 80s, peace mungbeans and free love ruled then, tourism seems to have eroded those days somewhat. But Nimbin is still worth the trek for the beautiful countryside and scenery - check out tunnable falls - try and find some of the OLD locals at the Nimbin hotel to find out what Nimbin was like in its hey day. The traces are still there in this lovely little rainbow town. Peace and Love and White Light!

the staff at the visitor information centre were fabulous and made it a pleasure to visit this small unique town with so much to offer.. the main street strip of shops are great to explore and pick up a token of your visit.. the clothing for sale is very appealing but a little pricey.. a lovely place to sit in a cafe in Winter having a nice cuppa and cake..

We got great information about the area, and they had great maps (not easy to find) that helped my plan the rest of our NSW trip.

A very user friendly information centre with a lady that goes the extra to help and support visitors. Long may she be there!

Driving into Nimbin was something to remember, the buildings, trees, lamp posts and anything that doesn't move is painted but not nastily, just puts a smile on your face as it was like travelling back in time to the hippy days, people of all ages reside here and all dress in clothes from the flower power days, no worries.

After a stopover in Nimbin, ducked in here to get some advice for the next leg of our travels. The woman behind tehcounter was incredibly hepful. Clear directions, marked on a free map, plus some advice on scenic versus direct routes, etc. Thank you!! :)

Couldn't have asked for better service. The lady know what she was talking about and not just Nimbin but the surrounding areas.

Good place to start off your visit to Nimbin as you can pick up a free map of the area showing the different shops and attractions. Friendly staff actually talk with you to assist, and they stock a range of local crafts etc. Plenty of local information available too, brochures for the local areaand a calendar on the wall with current and future activities. Well worth stopping there.
