Possibly one of the most understated lookouts ever, Point Lookout at Ebor offers a spectacular view across almost untouched and undulating landscapes that look toward a whole raft of national parks and state forests. On a clear day and in the distance the coastline lingers, with an incredible line of sight that extends from Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie. To the lookout is an ultra light walk, only about 20 meters from the car park, or further down to Eagles Nest & other points if you have the time. BBQs, cabins, good signage at the park, a hikers hut and a paved road up the steep hill make it a well maintained area. Note the March Flies on the day we were there. The unsealed road on the way in is in good condition.

This was about a 20 minute drive, uphill, on a dirt road, in a really old camper, without any signage. BUT the view was worth every second. It was unrivaled by any other view we saw in Oz. A must-do. No question.

we drove in a camper van thing and i tell you what, the drive is long and not great for anything other than cars, it took ages, however on the way you see wild kangaroos etc which is great! we got there and its magical, we saw no other person around and the views are spectacular, well worth it and you should go as you oversee all the mountains in the valley!

I like this national park - expansive views over undulating wild terrain. The viewpoint is good but there are good walks to do as well of varying lengths.
