We were part of a small group that stopped by late in the afternoon to do some tastings at the cellar door. Laura, who served us, was undoubtedly the friendliest person we had encountered throughout the day, and was very accommodating to the group. Laura stayed back after cellar door hours to provide us the full Echinda experience, which we were very thankful for. Beyond the excellent customer service experienced, the wines at Ekhinda are awesome (particularly the Shiraz and Grenache) absolutely would recommend to anyone visiting the McLaren Vale Wine Region.

We stopped by for a light lunch today. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff very friendly. I desperately wanted to try an anti-pasta platter, and was disappointed that they only serve platters to share. So I settled for a lemon tart which was lovely and light. One of our party ordered the Eton Mess, also delicious and the third member of our party ordered the salt and pepper squid, which was average, but not exceptional. The ginger beer was sugary sweet. Lovely atmosphere but not sure if we will rush back.

We stopped in here for a wine tasting whilst in Mclaren Vale. The wine tasting area is set up within a bar and as we went late afternoon there were lots of intoxicated and rowdy patrons already there. The lady serving us was very friendly and enthusiastic and did apologise at one point. The wine was average and the setting is not the most pleasant. The bar area did look good fun though, so visiting for a beer would probably be better.

Brilliant location and beautiful grounds, we decided on a beer tasting platter instead of wine, and I'm so glad we did. Their 50/50 ginger beer is superb, and the hosts are friendly and fun. A must do in Mclaren Vale.

during so much wine tasting it was truly refreshing to come across a winery that also produced an exciting range of beers.I was impressed with the wheat beer and the ginger beer and was truly surprised with the 50/50 mix of the two.

We visited here and tried the beer selection. We enjoyed the beers but found the wheat beer/ginger mix not to our taste and the ginger beer likewise.

Great wines, interesting ales & friendly, knowledgeable staff made for a really nice wine tasting experience. Views & dining area looked very inviting to sit & stay for a few hours.

What perfect winters night venue - great hospitality, wholesome food full of flavour. Perfect for people that appreciate quality wines and beers. And the lemon myrtle kangaroo was a standout meal. THANK YOU - we will definitely be a returned customer!

We ate here for dinner recently, and it was outstanding. Friendly helpful staff, amazing local produced beers and wines, and our food was delicious. A very enjoyable experience in a great atmosphere. Try the dark ale, one of the best!

visited this great cellar door and restaurant last weekend, we have been before and always enjoyed the hospitality, wines, beers and food and were not disappointed on this occasion either.the place was jumping when we arrived, luckily we had booked but not early enough to secure a table - however the highbar was just as good for the 4 of us. we enjoyed their fantastic ginger beer to start followed by a really good sparkling shiraz and an even better bottle of their Linchpin shiraz. the food was excellent, we all tried different entrees and mains from the menu and specials and were very pleased with the quality and taste.

really nice spot and great service. The food was really beautiful but for me the wines were just average nice.
