new world rafting center

I went as a bday gift to my fiancee and we had a blast. We signed up for the full day event which comes with lunch and dinner and two trips down the Rouge River. It was well worth it! If you want to have maximum fun, I highly recommend that you ask that your rafting guide be Terry-Jo Banjo because he is probably the best. As long as you follow his instructions well, he'll have you surfing every rapid and he has the boat control skills to keep you inside the "washing machine" for as many "rinse cycles" as you can imagine! He is also the only guide that will take out a harmonica and ukelele to sing for you down the lazy section of the river. Tips: I learned that rafting is very dependent on season and weather. Spring is during the ice melt and is for more intermediate to advanced rafters with really high flow and cold rapids. The opposite applies when close to fall where the water levels are lower but the weather is warmer. There are exceptions: we went in Sept when the weather was warm but got lucky with the water levels because it had previously rained heavily in the North at the source of the river. Therefore, we had the luxury of warm weather but the excitement of higher flow rapids.

It was my second time enjoying the rafting with Nouveau Monde ! Amazing experience, very friendly staff, good meals and lots of fun time. Our tour guide Fred.F was amazing, very co-operative and fun. He kept guiding us and making sure that everyone is safe and enjoying. Fred.F has an amazing story about the local Indians who used to live there, if you happen to get Fred as your tour guide, do not forget to ask him. My friends and I absolutely loved that dude and the whole group of ours. We drove all the way from Windsor Ontario, it was a good 12 hours drive, but Worth it. Thanks Nouveau Monde and thanks to Fred.F !!!

Speaking on behalf of our group of 12 campers our weekend was overall excellent! This was many of our first times camping, and all of our first times rafting and our experience could not have been better! The staff at New World were awesome, friendly and comforting. The rafting was something I highly recommend, our guide Terry Joe, was truly an awesome guide. He made the day fun and enjoyable for us all, and we learned and enjoy the entire experience.Very glass we choose New World, our group will surely be back next summer!Anthony

We took the family package for 3 hours of rafting on the Rouge River. Two kids girl 11 and boy 16. Two adults. We had a blast. The guides were great, the beach lunch was too. Just enough excitement to wear them both out. They fell asleep on the ride home. Would not hesitate to recommend this to any family. If the kids are shorter than a paddle they just come for the ride. Opportunities to cliff jump, jump into the rapids and swim in the calmer waters.We also bought the picture package with over 130 pictures on a USB stick. Amazing photography. The actual time on the river is three hours. All together with the bus ride to the start, instructions and the ride back to base camp it was 6 hours..... great.....back at the base camp there are hot tubs, a pool. a fire pit, bar, restaurant, etc... Can't wait to go back next year. Our guide was Dago.

Excellent day on the Riviere Rouge! Terry Joe (TJ - "Turtle") was the most amazing guide - always aware of where we all were - regardless of whether we were in the boat or in the water! We had such a blast and benefited from the most recent downpours of rain! All the guides were excellent and in total control of every situation (as much as mother nature allows). Their years of experience were evident and their confidence made for a fabulous first time experience in the white water! Facilities were clean and everything was super well organized. Will definitely be back and be sure to request TJ! Oh and don't forget the photographer - captures the most incredible shots! Excellent from start to finish! :)

This was on our bucket list and we are so glad our experience was made perfect by Turtle, our river raft guide. We had our 11 year old son with us and none of us had ever rafted before. Turtle explained every step of the way and guided us through each situation perfectly without making our situation too safe. He let us have a good taste of Rouge at just the right moments. We won't forget this adventure any time soon. Thanks Turtle!!!!!

We did the full day excursion which included lunch and dinner, two runs, and at the end there was a viewing of the video filmed by professionals during our trip. The food was surprisingly good (steak on a barbecue for dinner!). The entire experience is definitely worth the price. It was an incredible day, and we are sure to come back with more friends! This was a really a great activity lots of fun and great staff . Try t o get frederic f as your guide he was the best!

I just came back from an amazing experience. Our River Guide, Turtle was so much fun. He knows how to balance fun and safety to accommodate adventures for all kinds of people. He sang, played his harmonica and encouraged us to be brave! He really was wonderful and hilarious too. Be prepared to get some bumps and bruises. Bring water shoes and although parts can be scary at times. Youre surrounded by lots of very experienced staff. Dive in and get wet!

Food - We had vouchers for breakfast and dinner, plus we had lunch after the first run. Lunch on the river consisted of wraps (chicken, egg, tuna, ham) with fruit and vegetables. The food was really good and there was PLENTY of it. Do make sure you are realistic with your expectations as you are not at a hotel. Accomodations - We stayed in the shanties opposed to camping. They were clean and had electricity (including a plug). They consisted of 4 single beds with a mattress. The bathroom is a bit of a trek as you had to go back to the club house area. There were also fire pits available, you could buy a barrel of food or $15. Rafting - We participated in the first rafting race which consisted of two trips down the river with a variety of skill testing questions and physical skill challenges. The day was well organized with breaks and lunch which was a lot of fun. The section of rapids wasn't overly challenging but we did some fun stuff with our raft (ex. Surfing). Our guide, Kyle, was fabulous! We totally recommend him!Activities - They have a volleyball court (good sand), horse shoes, a pool (old but gets the job done) and two small hot tubs (old too). They pool and hot tubs were cleaned every morning. Personelle - The guides were very friendly and helpful and made it a great experience. We were an English speaking group and found the bar staff to serve around us. Overall, our experience with the staff was great aside from those that work at the bar. Atmosphere - During the day it is family friendly but be prepared for the music to pick up and the club house area to turn into a party until early morning. This was good for us as we are in our 20s.

We went to New World Rafting Center with our colleagues for a Staff Day, and we have to say we had a lot of fun. This place is like a little world packed with passionate rafting people that sleep there, live there and enjoy sharing the love of the sport with everybody. All staff is funny, polite and extremely skilled when it comes to entertain groups on the water. Our guide, Thierry, made everyone super comfortable, even during the most scary moments. He is one hell of a funny guy and I know some girls in the group would like to marry him. We will go back this summer.

Super fun times! Nice and clean facilities, super friendly stafff (especially our awesome guide - Thierry), Will definitely go back!

Had a blast rafting at Nouveau Monde last weekend - non stop fun and excitement with the best and most handsome rafting guide(Thierry), what a treat. great food, great exercise, and a saucy night life. highly recommended.
