This is a lovely information center in a perfect location. We were able to sit outside at a picnic table, read and take in the view. The staff are friendly and informed, they have excellent complimentary WiFi (for a donation) and all the information you need to plan your trip.

While waiting for our expeditions to Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, our group of 15 visited the QC Visitor Centre on several occasions. The information sections was replete with pamphlets and brochures, the available literature was diverse and informative, and the gifts and novelties were appropriate. Staff were very helpful. What we seemed as a group to like best was the quilted/appliqued display that encircled the centre, depicting wildlife found in the area. A must see for visitors to Haida Gwaii. The superbly landscaped park adjacent to the centre is so tranquil and relaxing.

Good place to stop if you have to go. Free internet on an ancient XP computer. Decent selection of trinkets and souvenirs. Staff was friendly enough, but don't do any hotel bookings or anything, they just hand out phone numbers and tell you to call yourself.

Open daily; early to late. Helped me plan itinerary and gave me rent a car options. Good relief map on site, Good selection of books to buy. Friendly and helpful and knowledgeable staff,

We visited the visitor centre because we had read that it had a couple of gift shops. It did. The other gift shops we had visited appeared to have either very high priced Haida art or low priced tourist stuff (t-shirts, mugs, etc.) The gift shops at the visitor centre found the middle ground, e.g. reasonably authentic and reasonably priced. We visited it twice and both clerks were more than friendly and helpful.

the staff were friendly and helpful - the touch pool with sea critters was very cool - as is the quilted collage - a good selection of info books, maps and trinkets - not a trail down to the beach however - but we climbed down over the rocks anyway! decent parking and central to town - walking distance to town 'core'

Canoe carving, totem poles, cultural artefacts, culture presentations with talks, singing and dancing. This centre gives a rich picture of the history and culture of the Haida people.

The Visitor's Centre was the standard BC information centre - with shopping. The one in Queen Charlotte City is new and is not hard to find - just ask a local!
