My wife and i toured here with free tasting vouchers. My wife only drinks sweet wine and they really didnt have anything for her but he did pour her a sweet drink while I sampled and gave her some chocolate. We had great conversation and you could tell he was passionate and knowledgable. If you like traditional good wine this is the place to go.

This was my second time going on their snowshoeing tour. I have to say, all the staff here are great. The minute we checked in, we were poured a sample of their Winemaker's Riesling in a stemless glass that we got to take home. Once we finished that, they helped us get fitted with our snowshoes and then took us around the vineyard. We got to see where their grape varietals were grown and got a little lesson in viniculture. At the end of the trip, we had a hot cup of soup around a campfire and were offered many more wine samples. They really seem to like what they do and it shows.

So unfortunately there wasn't enough snow to actually snowshoe - so we got a walking tour of the vineyard. The tour guides were knowledgable and pleasant. The wines we tasted were decent and enticed us enough to purchase a bottle of the wine makers red at the end of the tour. The grounds are picturesque and the hiking lasted about an hour. We were then taken back to some outdoor fire pits and picnic tables where we ate delicious soup and had adequately paired Gewurztraminer wine. Overall the tour was a great break from the daily norm - I had a great time. I would recommend this to couples or groups of friends looking to get outside (despite the cold) and spend a nice few hours touring the Niagara region. I'm sure had there been enough snow it would have been fun to try the tour on snowshoes.

To be fair Thirty Bench also produces other whites such as Gewürztraminer, reds roses. It's not a stretch to state, however, that their reputation was made and continues to thrive as a result of their outstanding Rieslings. The winery is often thought of as one of Niagara's best Riesling producers.Their small lot Rieslings; Triangle, Wood Post and Steel Post are the gems. All have unique characteristics and consistently receive rave reviews. I find that these are quite reminiscent of German Rieslings in style and taste. The only question is are they worth more than the original. Since the above-mentioned are priced at $30 whereas some outstanding German Riesling can be had around the $22 - $26 mark.My experience is that the staff at the tasting bar is extremely knowledgeable and will spend as much time with you as you need.

Thirty bench is a small unassuming producer of great Rieslings, each having it own distinct character - mineral content, dry, off dry etc. The staff was knowledgeable the tour of the vineyard was brief, to say the least. On the positive, our host spent all of her time with us sampling and discussing the merits of each wine - so it was more of a product tour than a vineyard tour. Well worth it, especially for the fan of small lot Rieslings and Pinot Noir.

We decided to spend a couple of days in the Twenty Bench appellation region near Grimsby Ont in order to check out some local wineries where we would find quality product not available in the local LCBO stores. This was one such winery and the choices were great. Staff were very helpful in explaining the varieties and helping to choose the right wines for our pallettes. Definitely worth the stop.

I had a really positive experience here. The staff were friendly and willing to chat with you, asking where you were from and what you were doing. In fact he was so friendly he sometimes forgot he was doing a wine tasting and had to be reminded to talk about his wine as well. A positive wine tasting experience, one of the good wineries in the region - give them a visit.

Well worth the visit to the tasting room. While sampling the great wines they offer, the view is also amazing

We had a wonderful tasting at Thirty Bench. The staff were superb, Tina took us through the wines and she was outstanding. We even had the pleasure of talking to the experts as a new field of vines was planted.Highly recommended.

This excellent winery is located right on the bench, and the building itself is beautiful, with soaring ceilings and lots of light. The staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their wines. Their collective pride in their product definitely shows. The wines themselves are extremely well made and well priced. Take time to sit at one of the available picnic tables to soak in the scenery.

The location of the winery offers great views over the vineyard toward the lake. It offers several picnic tables for having a picnic lunch (which we did). The small garden around the winery store offers an excellent setting for photos. This is a great stop on the way to the Niagara region to stop for a picnic and some family photos (and a buying a bottle of nice wine). The winery store offers a nice variety of wines ranging in prices from $18-$40 dollars. There is also a nice range of related gift ware to pair with any wine purchase.

My friends and I booked the Thirty Bench snowshoe wine tour but when we arrived it was pouring rain and there wasn't much snow to speak of. What could have been a real bummer turned out to be one of the funnest days. The Thirty Bench staff were amazing and took such good care of us. We still ended up taking a walk in the rain after our insistence and tasting some wines in the vineyard. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun and the wine was absolutely delicious. After we returned from the walk we tasted 4 more superb wines and were served soup to warm us up. All in all it was a delightful day and I would recommend this winery to everyone!

Visited the Thirty Becnh Winery today and sampled 3 of their wines. Rielsing (what they're know for), Chardonnay, and Red. My favorite was the Reisling - The wine pourer on duty, Tim, was veyr knowledgable and friendly. Made several suggestions about out tasting. This place is worth the drive.
