My wife and I went to the restaurant for lunch and the food, ambiance and service was great. The menu was simple but perfect. We wanted to try half of the menu and ended up getting apps, main and dessert. We each had a glass of white wine (Pinot and Sauvignon), both were great. The food was 4star and each dish had something interesting infused into it. My pasta was homemade, and I imagine most if not all of elements in their food is made fresh onsite daily. The prices were very reasonable and we will definitely go back there again. Our lunch, which consisted of 2gls of wine, 2 apps, 2 lunch main, 1 dessert and coffee, with tip was just under $100.

We stopped here on our way through and were not disappointed. Between the two of us we sampled several of the wines and enjoyed most of them. They have a nice variety of wines, whether it's reds or whites, and most of them were dry, which is suited to our tastes. If you like the sweeter side, they did have a selection of ice wines, that were not bad and reasonable priced as well. All of their wines were reasonable priced and very flavorful and well done. It's worth the stop if you are in the vicinity, as the staff was friendly as well.

A group of us recently went on a wine tasting tour in The Bench and this was our first stop. Erin was very friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was fantastic! This was actually my favourite winery on the tour (we went to 5) and the Malbec was my favourite. I wish I had have bought a bottle. Next time!

Discovered this lovely winery in the fall and had to go back to refill our stock. Lovely place and I had a great conversation about the vineyard with one of the ladies who works there. Excited to hear they have planted some Riesling to replace their lost Merlot vines. We will be back.

We have been to Pen Ridge a number of times over the years and have noticed that each year it gets better in terms of quality of wine and very well priced. Last week, a group of friend went to their restaurant on Friday night and for the months of November and December they have a special steak and lobster for $24.95- it was excellent. The restaurant is located in a separate building- an historic home. Everyone was very pleased with our experience.

They have great sales on wine that is about end the batch. There wine is of average price and is very good.

Based on the reviews, I think I did the wrong thing here. Pretty spot, but the tacky faded signs placed on the driveway were a sign of lack of attention to detail. Went to the store first to look around. Didn't get acknowledged by staff after about 10 minutes so left without tasting. Instead we went to the main house for lunch. Smell in the front door was of stale diner (I'm very smell sensitive so maybe most wouldn't notice). Soup was served in very hot bowls (microwave???). Pizza crust wasn't cooked. Food was ok but not worth returning for....wish we'd had the wine and cheese tasting instead as reviews seem to be good for that. In the end, no connection was made, which was disappointing.

I visit this winery often because I live so close and they have several really good wines. Also, the staff are always welcoming & very informative. With your wine tasting you can enjoy a cheese or charcuterie plate. You can also use their gift shop for a last minute gift that you may need. Prices are reasonable and choices are often unique. Tours are always welcome. The restaurant at PR is also worth the visit. A beautiful Victorian home that is charming inside & out. I celebrated my birthday here with family & friends. Everyone enjoyed their brunch. An inviting patio is available when the weather permits. Hours are limited so be sure to call ahead to make sure they are open or to make reservations.

You are greeted by the view of a beautiful Victorian home as you come up the driveway. We arrived in September so the grapes were still hanging on the vine, just waiting to be harvested. Jane was a great hostess and very knowledgeable of the wines that were produced at the winery. The Riesling and the Bench White proved to be to our liking. From the appearance of the winery, this would seem to be a great place to hold a wedding or other event. While there is a nominal fee for tasting, that fee is not charged if you purchase wine. If you enjoy wine, make this a stop when you are in the area.

My husband and I were married at Peninsula Ridge Winery on Saturday September 20th 2014 and it was the best day ever! Everything went so smooth and seamlessly! Melanie and Catharine did a wonderful job answering all our questions and keeping everything organized on the day of!After our ceremony, we arranged for our guests to go on our wine tour/tasting while we were having pictures and everyone loved it because they didn’t have to go anywhere and the staff was very informative. We received many compliments regarding the food, most of which went along the lines of “best food at a wedding, hands down!” We couldn’t agree more! My mouth is still watering from the Maple Glazed Pork :) From the hors d'oeuvres all the way to dessert: amazing! The food, service, setting… EVERYTHING was flawless!! We wouldn’t have changed a thing (except for the high winds, we could have done without them! haha)Thank you to everyone at Peninsula Ridge for making our day perfect (kitchen staff, winery staff, and service staff), we could not have pulled this off without you! We can’t wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary with you every year!!

The service here was very friendly, the wine was great. We really enjoyed walking around the vineyard - so beautiful and peaceful.

Attended a small family wedding. Beautiful area for outdoor wedding, great for pictures. It was a little chilly and they were thoughtful enough to provide a basket of fleece blankets for guests. A wine tasting was included during pictures for the bride and groom. It was held in an old barn that has been tastefully restored. They were very accommodating with novice wine tasters! Their Merlot is a solid choice. They were also kind enough to take the children in the party on a tour of the vineyards and to try some of the grapes, we didn't even ask they simply volunteered which was extremely kind. Dinner was fantastic mostly local and fresh ingredients. Great staff/location and perfect for a wedding party of 18.

Very quiet but it also may have been the fact we were there on a friday. Apparently they also sell cheese, ask for a cheese tasting too!

My husband went in to buy a gift basket for me as an anniversary gift. To my surprise, the cheese included in the basket was out of date by a month. He said that he was told there were 6 days left on it by the sales associate and she gave it to him at a discount for this very reason. I think that is fair as we were eating it the very next day. She was clearly mistaken as it was already out of date. Accidents happen fine...the problem is that on our wedding anniversary when the item was returned, we were told it is cheese so it doesn't matter what the date is. Number one, it is illegal to sell out of date food in Canada and secondly, when a customer brings something back after your company screws up, don't make excuses, apologize. We never got an apology, let alone some way of making up for the mistake with any kind of replacement or goodwill gesture. In fact the cheese went back in the fridge with others...what the heck is that about. Definitely avoid this place if they can't even offer any kind of good customer service. I can accept mistakes being human myself, but members of staff making excuses to explain that their actions were okay when they in fact weren't is absolutely unacceptable.

While visiting the area, my friend asked if I knew anything about ice wine. It was something that I never heard of. On our way to Niagra Falls, we stopped in at the Peninsula Ridge Estate Winery. The salesperson graciously explained the process of selecting and manufacturing the wine as we sampled some of the ice wine.It was an awesome experience and we plan to return in the summer..
