When we walked up to the tasting room, I said it felt like we were walking into someone's home. It turns out the tasting room IS the old Kew family home that has been turned into a winery. The house is still set up to look like a home with tables and seats set up to enjoy the wines. The owner was there and poured us some fabulous wines. They have some spectacular bubbles and other great wines for people to enjoy. Definitely stop in!

My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, booked a wine tour on the August long weekend - it included stops at 5 local vineyards, but Kew was our sixth stop. All weekend we had been hearing about Kew, and we were very fortunate when our driver for the day offered to stop in at the end of the day and see if they were able to accommodate an unscheduled tasting. They said yes and we were escorted into the stunningly renovated house that serves as their tasting room and wine shop amid the vines. We were seated in a beautiful room, and each given a menu of wines, from which we could each pick any three we liked for $5. Between the six of us I think we tried them all! I had the Blanc de Noir, Fume Blanc, and Heritage. Hubby has the Traditional, Solider's Grant and Heritage - the rest of our praty rounded out the menu. Our hostess was lovely and graciously told us about wines and the vineyard even though we showed up unannounced near closing time - excellent service and very much appreciated. Their shop was our favourite of the day!My husband and I went home with the Heritage and an itch to return for more in the near future. Cheers!

Spent a delightful 90 minutes at the new Kew Vineyards Winery in Beamsville (wets of Niagara on the Lake, Ont.). Vineyards there since 1975 but winery is fairly new. Wines produces cover the spectrum from Riesling to Cab MErlot with some unique varieties. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend this winery to be on YOUR list of places to visit when you are looking to do a wine tour of the Niagara Peninsula.
