We attended a Murder Mystery Dinner night last weekend in a small group of 4. We were visiting my sister and her husband in Bobcaygeon. We were invited to attend the Mystery as it is one of our favourite things to do...attend them or host them in our home. Both of which have many benefits and drawbacks. The "Globus Theater" did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. We were blown away with the quality and quantity of the food that was served. Enough reason to return anytime to indulge in the fine selection of each and every item offered! The small dinner crowd were actively involved and everyone seems to be happy to participate in anyway requested. We only wish we had had more time to prepare and show up with a storyline for the 4 of us.. The acting was very good and it never seemed they took many breaks for any reason. Someone was always participating in the show as their character in some way. Kudos to everyone who made it so much fun and worked so hard to make it a success for us! I believe that the place should have been full and overflowing with guests and disappointed to know that not more people take advantage of this fun!! Nothing negative to report from me me at all! Even the silverware was impressive! Hopefully we will be in the area and be able to attend again sometime as I know that if you have such talented people preforming in a Mystery Dinner I imagine the same quality will be at each function hosted.Thank you again. My wife and I enjoy live theatre and are happy to travel to see different shows. A few years ago we came across the Globus Theatre in Bobcaygeon because they were playing The 39 Steps - it was a very high-quality production, one of the best we have ever seen (and we saw the original in London, UK) Since then we have taken in as many of their shows as we could manage (driving from Markham) and we have been consistently delighted and impressed. The actors and actresses are great, the plays are good and varied - musicals, comedies, drama, revues, farces, mysteries - the list goes on!The service from the front of house team is outstanding. They really make you feel welcome and every staff member we have spoken to seemed genuinely excited about the shows. The building is a barn but inside it is a very comfortable theatre. Parking is easy. Prices are lower than most other summer theatres (great early bird deals for multi-show pass)A real asset to Bobcaygeon - we look forward to every visit.

My husband and I saw the comedy production of "Sexy Laundry". Amazing talent! We laughed alot! Great job "Henry and Alice"! We enjoyed a delicious dinner included prior to the show which was served by many attentive waitstaff. Very efficiently delivered. My husband and I would definitely recommend Globus Theatre Productions and the venue was both comfortable and enjoyable.

This amazing summer theatre just outside the beautiful town of Bobcaygeon continues to impress theatre goers of all ages. I have just experienced the best production of Shirley Valentine. Sarah Quick as Shirley Valentine is the definitive Shirley. The intimate space of the Lake View Arts Barn allows Globus Theatre's production to truly touch the audience. James Barrett's direction is subtle and allows Shirley to move and talk with the audience in a lovely and intricate way.If the productions of On A First Name Basis and Sexy Laundry are as wonderful as this and I am sure they are.... a summer of amazing theatre is just around the corner!

If you are parent or a grandparent who's thinking of a birthday party or other sort of celebration for your family... and want something a little different... might I suggest the Globus Theatre and Arts Barn. We took 4 generations there today to see THOSE AMAZING CATS ... a kids show. Everyone had lots of fun and laughs, then Sarah and her staff provided a "kid friendly, heath conscious" lunch. What was so great, is that they planned it just as we asked, and then, we left the clean up to them!!! Evening dinner theatre there is great too.

The Globus Theatre is the resident theatre company in the Lakeview Arts Barn (also known as "The LAB"), located just outside Bobcaygeon. They are a professional theatre company and put on some of the best summer theatre I have seen in a long time! The theatre is a wonderfully intimate space that is absolutely transformed for every show. The Artistic Director, Sarah Quick is not only a creative genius at putting together brilliant seasons, she also writes, performs and produces shows that have been picked up by other companies throughout Ontario and beyond to amazing reviews. Her husband, James Barrett, is the Artistic Producer, but truly the two work as a seamless team in running this theatre. They provide a fantastic variety of shows - one and two handers, musicals, comedies, slapstick, pantomimes at Christmas - you name it, the theatre knows no boundaries! If you are planning to go see a show, be sure to book the dinner theatre package - the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is ideal. Stick around after the show and have a drink with the cast at the bar - what better way to wrap up the evening? This year Globus is celebrating it's 10th anniversary, and they are throwing a "Starlight Ball" in May. I have no doubt this will be right up there with the New Year's Eve parties they have, and I can't wait to make the trip to Bobcaygeon again! Be sure to check them out if you are in the area, and if you aren't, maybe you should think about heading to this part of the province and catching some of the best summer theatre around!
