As a single American guy living and working in Dimiao, Bohol (10 kms from Badiang)in 1985, I immediately found Badiang Springs and was hooked. One could say that the place led to me getting married as the numerous visits over 2-3 years gave me the opportunity to visit a young women who was born in the town of Valencia where the springs are located. One thing led to another yet. Yet I digress. The cool, spring water of the swimming pool is so refreshing; considering the heat and humidity. This facility is operated and owned by the local municipality. The decisions to make improvements have, for the most part, been good. Especially the addition of the kids pool. I have mixed feeling about the addition of the resort. Quality of construction, not withstanding, it does not seem like a sound use of municipal funds. It may have been better to use those funds for general maintenance and operating expenses of the pool facility itself and the accompanying tables, cottages, and rest rooms.Nonetheless, that rush of coolness as you enter the pool can not be beat

Not a great deal of things here... If you are traveling between point A and B in Bohol then definately stop for a swim, but dont make a special trip. Valencia is the town of my inlaws, so they come and bring food and we have a great day, but dont expect too much unless you come with a whole bunch of family and a couple of jeepneys full of food. I am staying at the hotel in October (2013) and will update on food prices and quality of accommodation.
