Tabyana beach was our first excursion of the cruise and it was my favorite one! The beach is absolutely gorgeous, the water is cristal clear and the sand is very soft when going into the water. I would recommend this place and would certaintly go back. If you are going on a cruise and Roatan is one of the ports you will stop by, you can buy the excursion with the ship or get there by yourself for much cheaper with a taxi.

This beach was awesome. Best beach i visited on my 7 night cruise. The water was crystal clear, some small areas had a bit of see weed but not anything to trouble you. The guys pacing the beach can be a bit annoying but if you not interested just say no! Don't try and do any massages or buy any shells. If you are on a cruise everything they have can be bought at the souvenir stores in port. Just relax, enjoy the sun, order a beer or a cocktail from the guys employed to Tabyana and take a swim.

We really enjoyed this beach. Beautiful and great snorkeling. Nice they had some security so we didn't have folks coming right up to the beach chairs to sell things. Beautiful view and warm waters.

We went here through a shore excursion off Norwegian Cruise Lines ship Dawn. We loved the beach - a little crowded, but plenty of chairs for everyone. The roving wait staff were quick about helping with your drink orders. We rented snorkel equipment ($10. for mask, snorkel and fins) and went right in off the beach. It was great! Lots of fish and coral to see!

Great sandy beach with excellent snorkeling right off the beach. Not too much hassle with people asking you to buy stuff, they take no for an answer gracefully.

We got off the cruise ship and waited maybe five minutes for the van to take us to San Simon Beach Club at Tabayana Beach. First they stopped at the zip line location to let off half the van. Then on to the beach. He let us off and we agreed to meet him at the entrance to the beach club at a agreed upon time.We went to the beach and we had our pick of chairs. Security came by several times and said they would watch our stuff when we went into the water and they did.Vendors came by and security would not let them get right up to you. They stopped them. The water was warm and clean.Snorkeling was best just down the beach by the rocks. It was maybe a 10 minute walk down the beach. We left our shoes and several water bottles on the beach. There was no problem when we got out of the water. Every thing was there. We went into the water at the beach club and there was never any problems and security did watch our stuff.Bathrooms and changing rooms were clean. After 4 hours we left as the cruise ships tours started to show up at the beach. When we left we waited for the van a few minutes and went back to the ship.

Was able to see a bit of the local life and countryside on the Van transfer from Coxen Hole cruise ship pier to Tabayana Beach. Beautiful location. Many white plastic loungers awaiting in sun or shade areas. Security close by assures you that your belongings will be watched. Lots of vendors that are monitored by Security. Not pushy if you let them know you are not interested. I took one up on the 30 minute Massage on the beach for $20. Hair braided for $10 - simple design. Picked up a few t-shirts at 3 for $20. BBQ lunch was delicious ! Enjoyed the live Reggae music. Drinks were strong (not included). Shop to purchase souvenirs and handmade art at front of attraction were reasonable. Many van transports waiting to return to ship.

We took our kids to the beach and had a great buffet meal. The papaya was FANTASTIC! The beach was lovely, but be prepared for the beach vendors. I did buy two pretty shells of a young man, but ask the staff for vendor advice before you head out.

We got off the cruise ship with the first wave on purpose as this was a return visit to this beautiful location. We got into one of the first shuttles out and were the first to arrive. Front row seats are the best for this attraction as the people watching, the beach activities and the water is all right there. Snorkeling is amazing as you walk only a few feet to incredible views. Bring your own equipment to save money and time to get into the water. The bar staff is the best and really take care of you needs and desires. The best part is the security personal who keep the vendors moving and out of your face. You really feel you can relax and enjoy your time at this beach getaway. if you want to buy something you can all your have to do is walk up the passing vendors but are not allowed to get in your face and the security never rests.

Snorkelling is great at the end of the beach. The reef is right there with so many fish. If you bring bread you can feed the fish. There is a guy on the beach that sells donuts. He is an older fellow with a beard, kind of like Santa. We heard about him and found him on the beach. Great donuts made with pineapple or bananas. This may not sound great, but you don't want to miss this. They are 3 for 5.00. The beach had a lot of seaweed for a few days because of a storm but they cleaned it up pretty quickly. Lots of restaurants on the beach. My favourite restaurants were at Fosters at one end of the beach and the Grand Roatan restaurant at the other end.

If your cruise ship stops in Roatan, you've got to spend some time here. A short ride through town and then you are on a beach with palm trees and the bluest water!! Snorkel in waist high water over coral reefs with colorful fish. Bring an underwater camera for some fantastic memories! Just do it!

The beach was lovely, although covered in seaweed you had to wade through to get into the water. This I could handle. However when my husband's snorkel mask got covered with toilet paper, I was out of that water in a second. There was garbage in the water-juice packets, garbage bags, baggies, and sanitary pads. It was disgusting. I would never go back and could not wait to get back to the ship to shower with lots of soap!

Docked here for a day during our cruise. The beach resort is beautiful, I wish that the bar area would be more exciting. They provide beach chairs but no other service. They also rent out snorkels but other than that, it's just okay. The food was not that great but hot and filling.

We have seen many beaches, but none with such clear, crystal blue waters. Tabyana beach is one where I have already been searching for plane tickets to go back. This is a short beach with creamy white sand and the bluest of blue waters. I felt very safe and comfortable here. At our location we had security guards watch our items very closely. The food provided on our tour was out of this world - barbeque chicken and the fixins. A laid back beach, it has the feel of untouched and primitive land even though several bars and restaurants dot the landscape. The locals are super friendly! Going to definitely go back to Honduras. Who knew that such beaches and landscape existed here. Tabyana beach is a must see, must experience tour! Bring towels, water shoes, and an appetite!

The day we were at Tabyana Beach followed a couple days of storms in Roatan. That resulted in a lot of weeds all along West Bay Beach. It made getting out into the reef a little more challenging, but well worth it. The water was very clear and I saw a lot of fish. The reef is quite shallow there, so you need to work at finding the passage out and back to shore. Swimming was easy the day we were there - very little waves or current.
