The Carousel Ice Skating Rink is a petty cool one of a kind place! We come down for an ice hockey tournament called the Mite Beach Bash! It's really cool and convenient that the rink is in the hotel because it makes it so easy to get the little guys and gals up for their early games. Also, because it is all in the same place we can feel safe as parents to let the teams play and roam around the hotel on their own and know they are going to be safe. It is a great event. The reasons it has 3 stars is because the ice surface isn't that nice. It gets really bad really fast and it's like the kids are playing on sawdust. If they could make the rink a little bigger with boards and real benches and a nicer ice surface it was definitely get 5 stars! For people looking to just be able to skate on a rink at a beach for fun it's a five star place!

Plenty of family-friendly amenities. While the rooms themselves are much like any other hotel, the hotel experience is completely different. Direct access to the boardwalk.

Ocean City's only indoor ice skating rink is at the Carousel Hotel. The rink is large, well maintained, and they have skates available to rent in all sizes for all ages. They also have skate assists to hold onto if you're not a proficient skater. Reasonable in price, plus during the holidays they have semi professional shows to watch for free. Snack bar and pool are all in the same lobby as the rink, so there's a lot to do here.

If you get there at the right time of the year you can see a free ice show. Normally teenagers but, a very good show.

My kids loved it! There were so many indoor activities for them to do. I really like the rooms with the indoor balcony overlooking the rink & I loved the beach action too!

It is a small ice skating rink but I give it 4 out of 5 because it is the only hotel in OC with a rink and a free ice skating show

ITs really nice how they offer this to anyone in Ocean City visiting. Its a beautiful rink. My only vice was that the skates are old and need to be updated.

Looking for a day away from the hot sun? Take the family for some iceskating fun. In the summer there is a live skating show every night at 6:30. We went early and had dinner right there next to the rink so when the show started, we had front row seats! Then after the show you and your family can skate for two hours for just $8 pp. Do you have two left feet? No worries they have "walkers" that you hold onto so that you can skate too!

The Ice Show which is free was amazing. 30 minutes of pure entertainment. You can enjoy dinner ring side or just stand and enjoy.

We did not ice skate, but went to the daily ice skating show (6:30pm daily during the in-season). It is free. We got there 15 minutes early and had front row "seats" (most spots to see are against the fence surrounding the rink, not actually seats). The show is a full half hour and the stars were at a table after the show for pictures and they gave out personalized photos of them autographed by all of them. I am SO glad we spent a rainy evening checking it out. The stars were very talented, in-sync with each other, and very professional. Everyone who stays in the area should go! We found a parking spot on the side street very easily.

We knew the rink was going to be small at the Carousel, but it's really small. In addition, half of the ice remained wet because they couldn't keep it cold enough. It was hard to skate on and if you fell, you'd surely get wet. I felt bad for the people in the ice show because it's hard to perform on such a small rink, but with soft (slow) ice, its even harder. Spins are nearly impossible... they were troopers though and kept up the show! The upside was that the price was very reasonable. $4 if you were staying at the Carousel, $5 if you weren't. The rental skates looked pretty bad, so bring your own.
