My husband and I took the Pocomoke River Cruise in October and it was a stunningly beautiful and serene excursion through the untouched lower Eastern Shore of centuries ago. Eagles soar overhead, herons and egrets swoop down to fish, and turtles bask on logs lining the twisted tree lined banks. The adventure takes you into the dense unspoiled cypress forest. Majestic trees shade the river as it narrows and twists. Bring your binoculars and camera, but leave the bug spray at home - there are few mosquitoes on the river. The pontoon boat is comfortable. The captain, Jerry is a knowledgeable and outstanding guide. If you want to escape from the noise of Ocean City and enjoy the pristine and peaceful beauty of Mother Nature, we highly recommend this excursion.
